I am not completely sure anymore, but if I remember correctly I hadn’t completely finished sense8 season 2 yet when it was cancelled

And like everybody else i was upset, but I also thought: maybe people are overreacting. Maybe the story is just finished and it is okay that Netflix cancels it.“

Then I saw people saying: „we will never see Wolfgang being free from the BPO you monsters!“

And I was like: „Wait! WHAT?!“ and then I watched the rest of the season in three days and I was ready to burn Netflix to the ground

im so frustrated. Sense8, the OA, Shadowhunters, Anne with an E have all been shows that have been hits on Netflix and showcase diversity and creative boundary breaking storytelling and at the peak of their success

Netflix cuts their head off. 

You can’t have your cake and eat it too. you can’t wave this in front of an audience so desperate to see ourselves represented on screen and once you have us begging for more, toss these shows away because you don’t need them anymore.

you play with not only the hearts of the viewers but those of the creators. the artists who entrusted you with their soul and their art. to give them the resources to make cathartic and healthy shows and then shut the door in their face. 

this isn’t a new problem in the entertainment industry, but in an age of a democratized digital space, corporations can’t pull these bureaucratic moves behind closed doors anymore and expect it to just go away.

we need all five seasons of sense8 because i don’t think anyone in the fandom is emotionally stable enough to write all the fanfiction it would take to even begin to recover from this show ending...

LMAOOO i LOVE clicking on a behind-the-scenes sense8 video with the word  ‘finale’ stamped on every visible surface of the screen only to find that 99% of the comments are ones telling netflix to bring sense8 back. like, i am truly LIVINGGGG!!!!!
