Dr. Hamid Ghare-Hasanlou and his wife Farzaneh Ghare-Hasanlou attended the funeral of Hadis Najafi, a 20 year old girl who was killed in Karaj, Iran, after being shot by IRGC forces. At the funeral, commotion ensued and it is alleged that an an IRGC officer was killed. Anyone who was known to have attended the funeral was later arrested. Dr. Hamid and his wife Farzaneh were asleep in their home when officials invaded and beat them severely in front of their 13 year old daughter who was told to not call anyone until sunrise. They were abducted and nobody knew of their whereabouts. Weeks later, their family were informed they were held in custody and Dr. Hamid had been so tortured and beaten to try and force a fake confession out of him that he had broken ribs and a punctured lung, and was transferred to hospital for life saving treatment with high security surveillance. Since they could not find the alleged killer of the IRGC officer that was alleged to have been killed, they charged Dr. Hamid and his wife Farzaneh as accomplices in the murder. Dr. Hamid has been sentenced to death by hanging, and his wife Farzaneh to 25 years in solitary confinement.
Since we now know that the IRI is doing an extremely rapid turnaround on their executions, we must act like Dr. Hamid’s execution is set for 48 hours from now (Dec. 14) and 1 million hashtags is the only thing that can save him.
