A beautiful window into the past from @hoodmansionsociety ....and perhaps a candle to light image. . This is a photo that was taken in the early 1900s of the main hallway in Hood Mansion. Notice the light that hangs from the center of the ceiling; the mansion was not wired for electricity until the 1960s and there were never gas lights either.
