Repost from @alexsbarlbc Meet Bradley- our Bar Manager and share his story: As a performing musician and lover of bar culture, I found myself at home in Alex’s Bar, long before I began working there. I’ve worked at Alex’s for close to 10 years now. I started by picking up bartending shifts while working two other service industry jobs. Eventually, I was given the opportunity to manage, book shows and run the bar program full time. The people I’ve met, the experiences I’ve had, and the lifelong connections that I’ve made there have made me a better person. For me it’s not just a job. We’re family. Like most people in our industry, my life has been flipped upside down. I’m grateful to still have a job as we struggle on with our drive thru liquor store, but my heart goes out to everyone that has been displaced as a result of these shutdowns. I hope that our city’s leaders can come up with a plan that will save our industry. If not, maybe they can give us the same opportunities afforded to restaurants and bars with kitchens. There’s no reason that we shouldn’t be able to partner up with licensed food vendors to provide a safe, outdoor, socially distanced experience. #LongBeachBarCoalition #SaveOurBars #SaveOurStages #RedAlert #WeMakeEvents @longbeachbarcoalition https://www.instagram.com/p/CFIjkKThmkK/?igshid=1v0k60mnmm6oj
