We're currently compiling a detailed history of not only the #SaveShenmue campaign and its variants, but the many contributions of the Shenmue fan community over the years that we've been waiting for Shenmue III.

In a coincidence that made us smile, we discovered today an old petition from 2002 seeking to "Save Shenmue 2" from being cancelled on Xbox in PAL territories, in response to rumors these fans had heard.

We guess that phrase always had a certain gravity for fans of the series!
