I owe you all an answer, Savestate is not cancelled nor will it ever be.
I have BIG plans! And i've been hard at work these past few weeks.
The reason i havent posted here in a long while is because my finals are actually creeping up on me... but i'll deal with them soon enough.
For now here's what i've been working on all this time.

Catie's blog is a lore expansion and prequel of the Savestate Saga, it'll dive deeper into Savestate's character and also introduce new characters!
Still a w.i.p, but it'll be done soon!
- Savestate: Carnifex
Still a concept, but a Mario fangame made by Savestate himself that throws you into an unfamiliar situation, turning the Game into a first person point and click adventure game!
You'll take control of an unique vessel, which inside contains the conciousness of a boy named Kaleb, he's trapped inside his own vessel and is forced to beg for your help in order to keep him away from threats and guide him to safety!
Savestate: Carnifex will also contain a big piece of role explaining the reason Savestate had to change from his Gen 3 vessel to his Gen 4. (current)
- Rewriting Savestate's wiki page
With the upcoming lore expansion i had to rewrite most of Savestate's lore mostly because it didn't truly make sense, but also because it was outdated.
I'm also planning on adding a section for the various Gens and their descriptions along with their corresponding Dwellers.
- Drawings and concepting
I've been hard at work, i may not be able to show one or two important drawings but you can have all the rest ^-^ enjoy!
Hisshi No Kokoromi
Hisshi No Kokoromi is Savestate's final form, his last desperate attempt to regain his control over the victims in his worlds as they were very close to resetting the game and being freed.
(Heavely inspired by Mahoraga, yes i am also a JJK geek) He has 8 horns, 4 coming out from the side of the head and 4 coming out off of the front. Although Savestate may look blind in this form, he's very much able to see. This form has 4 Arms, inspired by the very early Savestate design concept (oooh UglyState jumpscare ooooh)
Hisshi No Kokoromi rocks a black Hakama pants, ornated with plates around his waist, draping from his wait a banner is seen displaying a stylized Malware decorating it.
His tail is equipped with a spiked fin, a pattern at the end of it along with a ball shaped object fused to the tip, it's proper use is unknown, althought it's speculated to be used to hypnotize/confuse his victims.
This form is what Savestate original Bowser vessel has turned into over the years, corrupted and warped around Savestate's power over the years. THIS is what Savestate original backup looks like, it has been hidden inside Timothy all this time, bursting out of his chest like a Chestburster from Alien. His goal in doing so is to take out the only vessel in his world that could use the power of the Crystal Star to defeat Savestate and cause the game to reset, ending Savestate's reign and bringing the game back to how it was before STA took over.
Savestate Saga Update
Hey tumblr people! Sure has been a long while huh.
i've come to make an announcement, Savestate the comic is in the works, BUT before i'll be able to post the first chapter on here you'll have to wait for a looong while...
But untill then, have all the Savestate Saga comic concept panels so you have an idea on what awaits you! (they range from oldest concept to most recent, JUST A REMINDER THAT NONE OF THESE PANELS ARE CANON IN ANY WAY! THEY ARE JUST CONCEPTS) TW: Blood, Gore
AGAIN, nothing about these comic panels are canon, they are just tests of my skills.
The only thing somewhat relevant about these comics are the story bits especially in the first and last panel and the designs of the characters.

Happy 2nd anniversary Savestate!
Today is the 2nd anniversary of Savestate's creation and even with a pretty big artblock affecting me i managed to celebrate it! I hope you like it and have a wonderfull day! ^-^ Here's a Funfact about Savestate. He has 3 tongues, they're not used for anything but mocking others, the reason he shows them here its purely out of the joy of the art being whimsical with Mariano and Savestate having a party. Here's some more art pieces that i havent posted yet to celebrate today ^-^
Additional characters of the Savestate Saga
Besides our main cast (Mariano, Louie, Hermes and Okashy) we have another group of survivor that stays hidden from Savestate, The Scraps!
The scraps are victims that managed to merge with vessels without Savestate choosing for them/turning them into Items/assets. They are a group of 4 members, like our main cast, but each with their own characteristics. Kevin The Speedster is a 16 years old kid, he's Hyperactive and loves to skate. His vessel was a planned enemy for The Lost Coast, being a callback to the original character "Koopa The Quick" he'd challenge you to the end of various stages. Gloomber, also called by the group "GloomBert" (to make him more "human-sounding") is a deaf 15 years old taking for of the local species of Goombas present on Kumodoki Island. Gloombers have a spike on top of their head allowing them to not get stomped by the player. Harmony is a 17 years old girl who takes form of a Toadette vessel, she has Jingle Bells as earrings and long hair, she's great at organizing and loves country music. Khan is the most unique of the group, having the vessel of one of the Krookoking's goons. He's a 25 years old farmer who inhabits the vessel of a Krooko-Thief, he has a talent for handling farms and is a natural when it comes to taking care of injured animals, he's also the leader of the group since he's the oldest. None of these characters ever want to go face to face with Savestate, mostly because they're scared of what would happen to them if Savestate found out about their existance. They wont really be relevant in the Savestate Comic, they may get a cameo or something similar to that, only time can really tell.
