I need a little help
Hey tumblr, see this adorable boy?
His name is Nugget, and he really needs help.
A few months ago Nugget stopped eating right. At the time he was still chowing down on human food so it seemed like he was just being picky. His appetite slowly got worse over time though to a point where he would leave a full bowl all day without touching it. A few weeks ago Nugget began peeing blood. Not blood in his urine, but straight blood. At the time we had thought it was a severe UTI and treated it that way hoping that was the cause of his loss of appetite.
For awhile it seemed this was the issue. He perked up and seemed to be doing well. Except that he was still passing blood and clots when he peed and the bit that we could get him to eat had dropped to a few bites now and again.
My brother so wonderfully paid for a vet visit earlier today (12/10) and we found out that Nugget has a mass in his spleen. They don't know if its cancerous but his spleen is invading his kidney causing issues. The bloodwork seems as though he doesn't yet have any damage to his kidneys but he can't continue this way. If the spleen were to burst there is a chance it would kill him instantly.
Tumblr, I am begging for help. The surgery to remove the spleen is about a thousand dollars. Between my mental health issues and my boyfriend struggling to find a job we are beyond broke. We almost didn't have heat. Nugget is only five years old. He still has a lot of moos left in him. I am begging, begging, that you share this and if anyone out there has even $5 or $10 that they could donate to get him back to health I would be more than eternally grateful. We need help.
