The bees are still dying.
So I’m hesitant to talk about these things because typically it seems most don’t care but this is a safe place so, about a week ago there was a yellow jacket 🐝 that was sitting on my top stair outside my door, it was barely moving and I had seen on social media (lol) that if you give a bee sugar water it temporarily helps them regain their strength. So me, feeling brave, went and mixed up a little bit of brown sugar water (didn’t have white🤷🏾♀️) and used a straw to give it some. It barely moved and I couldn’t tell if it was drinking it or not but I saturated the stair in front of it and hoped for the best. When I came back it was gone so I felt suuuuper accomplished “oh you know just saving nature😆” But.....😭 I came home a couple of days ago and the same bee was back but it was on its side dead😭😭😭 and a couple of stairs below it was another just like it🥺. I can only assume it told his friend that if it came back with it that I would have the stuff that saved it but I wasn’t there and they both died and I know I’m not responsible but it feels awful😭.
I say all this to say take care of the planet take care of the environment do your best to not make this place worse because we all need each other; plant, animal, insect, everything😔❤️🐝
