I don't know if there's a word for it, but my favorite genre of media is clever and funny at the same time. Brilliant premise, plot that interconnects and parallels perfectly, media that begs you to re-engage with it in order to fully comprehend it. At the same time, you're enjoying yourself. It may not always be serious, but the humor is always sincere. You get to see the perspective of someone absolutely losing their mind.
if anyone needs to know my favorite christmas movies are saving santa (its great this absolute loser fucks up the north poles security system and the fbi finds them and some dude with a funky mustache kidnaps santa (or smth like that idk havent watch this since last year)) and the santa clause (yes the one with tim allen)
