Well we on our first business trip to Sydney to meet with the printers to finalise the design for our Hemp Soft Serve range hopefully we will not get lost in Sydney traffic or miss our flight back to Melbourne tonight . Plus we are visiting our valued partners @prepac.australia and @earthkyndco and hopefully have time to see the CEO and owner of Brullen @justin_mafs #vegan #flying #savingtheplanet (at Qantas Domestic Check-in) https://www.instagram.com/p/COqbJv9jMpO/?igshid=f9n2wcmwiurq
Can I just note how much I hate this crinkly paper shit in packages? It's not festive, it's a nuisance. It gets everywhere, and most times i have to dig through it several times to find what I paid for. On more than one occasion, I actually missed stuff, only to find it later when I dumped this crap out into the recycling. And don't get me started on the sparkly and metallic stuff. It's not even recyclable because of the coating. It literally is just garbage. I know there's all kinds of tutorials and guidance about making your packages welcoming and fluffy and all that jazz. Most of it is designed to make sellers think they have to spend money on all sorts of extraneous nonsense. Save the money and save the planet - eschew the rampant consumerism of the twee. My favorite packages are the ones that are eco-conscious and sustainable. I prefer getting my pins wrapped in paper (no need for tape, just use a regular piece of paper and fold it several layers around the pin), or all the pins mounted on large backer boards so individual pin packaging isn't needed. It makes me nuts that by the time I've unpacked a package of pins, I've got so much plastic left, the pile is higher than the pins they contained. I literally have bins of packing material, since i refuse to toss unrecyclable plastic - I find ways to reuse if I can. Paper wrapping just goes into recycling, no muss no fuss. No chance of plastic or coated paper getting into the ecosystem. I realize there are more important issues in the world, but plastic pollution and sustainability are important issues. I try to be environmentally conscious, and it's really, really hard to do in this hobby. Some food for thought ... and end of rant. #pinmail #pincollecting #pinsofinstagram #pinpackaging #recycling #savingtheplanet https://www.instagram.com/p/CJwmpBBl7o5/?igshid=8kexupnhdlrp

Reposted from @masai_story - The #beautiful land that is the Masai Steppe of Tanzania. This is the #view that has inspired me to launch my Masai community education campaign to inspire the people of the #masai village I live in to make a stand against the ongoing environmental destruction of their homelands. This #picture represents the #challenge a lot of earth's last wild spaces face: #deforestation for the sake of agriculture. Where I am standing (on my husband’s motorbike) woodland has been cleared and turned into farmland. In the distance is visible a part of the Masai Steppe still wild and untouched - it is this #land that I want to save with my #campaign, along with the ancient culture of the Masai. Ah yes, the classic "save the trees" reminder, conveniently printed on a piece of paper. True eco-warrior vibes!
Lightning, Climate, and ALLATRA: When Thunderstorms Become a Threat to Space
Thunderstorms - more than just a beautiful phenomenon.
We're used to admiring thunderstorms, their power and beauty. But new scientific research proves that lightning has far more serious consequences than we thought.
During thunderstorms, a tremendous amount of energy is released, which is transformed into special electromagnetic waves - whistlers. These waves have circular polarization and propagate along the lines of force of the Earth's magnetic field.
Invisible threat.
Until recently, it was believed that whistlers attenuated and dispersed at an altitude of about 1000 kilometers above the Earth's surface. However, new research shows that they can penetrate deep into the Earth's magnetosphere, up to an altitude of 20 thousand kilometers.
This discovery is actually quite alarming. Whistlers can carry twice as much energy as previously thought.
Penetrating into the magnetosphere, this energy accelerates charged particles, creating electromagnetic radiation that can disrupt satellite operations, damage their equipment, and even harm astronauts working in orbit.
Climate crisis exacerbates the situation.
It is important to note that the increase in the frequency and intensity of thunderstorms, associated with climate change, makes whistlers even more dangerous.
ALLATRA in the fight against climate collapse.
In this light, ALLATRA's activities are particularly important. ALLATRA volunteers not only realize the danger of the climate crisis but are actively seeking solutions.
AWGs: First aid for the climate crisis.
ALLATRA proposes the introduction of Atmospheric Water Generators (AWGs), which will help to clean the ocean of microplastics and improve its ability to remove heat from the atmosphere.
The use of AWGs will not only reduce the intensity of thunderstorms, but also improve the thermal conductivity of the ocean and the atmosphere, which will help to stabilize the climate and give us a 4-6 year window for scientists to find a way to protect the planet from external cosmic impacts.
United efforts - the only path to salvation.
We live in a complex and uncertain time. The climate crisis threatens not only our planet but also our space ambitions. But we have a chance to overcome this threat. ALLATRA offers a concrete solution, and only by uniting our efforts can we create a safer future for humanity and our planet.
Now, we need to act quickly and wisely manage the remaining time. When making responsible decisions, it is important to remember that humanity has only 4 to 6 years of relatively calm time left.
