Jazz Night || Jennifer & Stefan
@savior-salvatore
Despite all the chaotic events in New Orleans the Jazz still played, a marvellous resilience that Jennifer revelled in. With it being so close to All Hallow’s Eve a few of the band members were dressed up but still managed to play expertly to the dancing crowd. Marquee’s had been erected and pop-up bars were doing a good business. Patio heaters we’re placed at regular intervals near chairs and the edges of the dance area to keep the chill of the night air at bay.
Jennifer was once again celebrating. The success of her first healer sacrifice had given her one more benefit that was unexpected but by no means unwelcome: she was literally a-flush with life. Her cheeks rose-red, her skin honey toned and her hair flowed long and shiny in dark ringlets. She’d garnered a fair bit of attention from both men and woman as she danced but she preferred to move to the music than acknowledge them, the rhythm of the songs moved through her, and she with it. Yes, it was a night to revel and so she did.
As the band took a short break for drinks Jennifer decided to grab a drink for herself. She made her way to a pop up bar, grabbed and drink and decided to take a seat near one of the patio heaters while she waited for the music to continue. She approached a gathering of chairs where only one man sitting and smiled, “Well, I think we’ve met before have we?” she asked the vaguely familiar man with a charming smile, “Mind if I sit?”
