LiveLoveManja (food allergy awareness blog) created by a member of the press (Ashley Nicolei) will guide you through the circus of products and vendors. The only acts and performances here are the aerial artists and contortionist talent. Prior to the event, Ashley reached out to event coordinator and was connected to one of the featured vendors, FreshRoll Vietnamese Rice Bowls and Rolls. Ashley, personally has a severe allergy to tree nuts (all nuts except peanuts which are a legume) but also researches and writes on behalf for the top 8 food allergies. The depth and importance of facts when it comes to ingredients, cross processing, and kitchen/prep protocol can be applied across the board and targeted specifically to the allergen(s). While she can only speak for hand on reviews (personal experience) for items that are tree nut free , she serves as a liaison and a curator to all top 8 because she understands the strict process. FreshRoll reported back so eloquently, thoroughly, and truthfully that it nearly brought Ashley to tears. Transparency, when it comes to food vendors and food allergies is as rare as it is priceless. Most will fudge the facts or interpret the facts to their personal understanding (perspective) of what a food allergy is and how severe it is (whichever is to the advantage of the sale) even though their job is to relay the facts. This can be incredibly dangerous for people with food allergies and can result in death. When Ashley arrived samples were gone and booth had dispersed, but she was touched by the item tags, addressing which items were safe for which food allergies. The effort to go the extra mile not only sets this vendor apart, but solidifies Ashley's trust in Savourlicious fine food concierge services.
