Some Mark Hoffman headcanons I made up because I'm bored.

- His music taste is divorced dad rock but heavier/darker - things like Alice in Chains, A Perfect Circle, Cold etc.

- I feel like this would be his favourite song ↓

- He is bisexual because I say he is. Kind of repressed about it, but 50/50 in his preferences. He slept around and would engage in rough sex with both men and women during his days of heavy drinking just to feel something.

- He's never been in a relationship that lasted longer than a year. He's big on physical touch, but he's never been much of a communicator, which ultimately led to his previous relationships breaking down.

- Any serious relationships he has been in were only with women (as I said, repressed bi)

- Was placed in a foster home with a deeply religious family for a while, hates the idea of organised religion as a result. Religion in general, or anything that resembles it, makes him extremely uncomfortable.

- He hated Amanda because he assumed she was just blindly following whatever John did; which only reminded him of how said foster family would blindly follow their religion. I don't think he knew Amanda also rigged certain traps. It was part of the reason why he ended up blackmailing her.

- On that note, I read somewhere there was a scrapped plotline for the seventh movie where the survivors group actually turned out to be a cult led by Dr Gordon to continue John's teachings (please correct me if I'm wrong on this). I feel like those plans were already in place long before John died, Mark was aware of this but didn't know Dr Gordon was in on it. Needless to say he hated that idea which is why he went completely against everything John stood for; out of spite. He killed Jill because he saw her as just another blind follower.

- He was sexually attracted to Strahm in some kind of way, still hated him as a person. Strahm felt the same way about him.

- I love coffinshipping with all my heart but let's be real; Those men either would have hate-fucked once to get it out of their system, or shared a kiss while both of them were blind drunk. Either way, they'd have come to an agreement to never speak on it again.

- He's more of a cat person. He would love a Maine Coone. As for dogs, he likes smaller breeds, the larger ones scare him (that was pretty much canon in V lmao). The only time you will ever see this man genuinely smile is if it's around a cat.

- Has one tattoo, an anchor on his inner bicep. He got it to represent his sister. After her death, he couldn't even look at it.

- Is a heavy sleeper. Snores a lot. Takes up the entire bed, steals all the blankets, does not give a fuck about it. He's also like a human furnace so good luck to whoever spends the night with him, especially in summer.

- Douses himself in aftershave. He's really particular about smelling good. He basically smells like a mixture of that, black coffee and cigarettes.

- Likes watching really dark, gritty TV series. He isn't one for movies. If Hannibal was made during that time, he would be all over it, I defy you to tell me otherwise.

Just watched saw five...bro I think Hoffman actually wanted Strahm to join him so he wouldn't be alone but decided his death was satisfactory enough. Like..we actually saw Kramer taking away Hoffman's humanity bit by bit and now he's who he is, a killer, when originally he never was
