Sawa-da, unlike it's sister tribe Pode-da, was amiable to outsiders and even let their own tribe members explore and adventure to other regions so long as they signed an agreement they would return at a specified date. They were well known across the continent for this reason, which was both a good and a bad thing.
The good thing was that they were learned to be a kind race with valuable goods and skills up for trade and sale. This allowed for the tribe to become very wealthy, as well as a popular spot for tourism in the summer months.
The bad thing was that greedy leaders wanted this wealth and those resources all for themselves. Debates and arguments were held between these leaders over who would be the first to claim the bountiful area as their own, and what would happen to those stationed there if they were not able to defend the area properly.
The leaders soon grew tired of debating and decided to take action. By barricading off the borders of the Sawa-da territory, they prevented the tribe from running for help as people were mercilessly slaughtered in droves.
Only a small amount of women and children were spared to be treated as none other than slaves to the nobles they were delivered to.
They even killed the new Oracle, a girl by the name of Luna who was no more than eight, to lessen the spirits of the people.
When the tribe was all removed or slaughtered, the land began to die out, and the nobles began to fear that the land had been cursed. Without the tribe's magical abilities, the once beautiful area turned into a barren wasteland, the streams became polluted with the blood of fallen men. The meadows, the fields and forests, they all died out within mere days, once beautiful green and colorful foliage became dried, withered up, and brown or black. The animals became diseased and weak, newborns were malformed and died within hours. Even the air in the surrounding areas felt sickly.
No one but those of Sawa-da and Pode-da knew that this was because the land only flourished from the hands of the blue-eyed tribe.
It was thought that the land would never be the same and that the Sawa-da Tribe would soon die out due to the fact all the men had been killed. The colonizers cleared out of the ravaged area after carving their names and kingdom into anything that would hold their signatures, mainly buildings, so that the world would recognize their kingdom as the one to wipe out an entire race out of cold blood, that they were to be feared.
Unfortunately, the evil soldiers had forgotten about the ways of the tribe, how the children with no magical affinities were sent off to train in the ways of useful skills, such as fighting and leadership.
There was still a chance that the Sawa-da Tribe could restore itself to it's former glory, though many hardships and sorrows laid ahead for those captured, as well as the poor children who would return in hopes of seeing their families, only to find there were none left.
But the people of the Sawa-da Tribe are strong. They have many allies; they have spirit; they will fight.
