also seeing all my other old mutuals becoming inactive alongside me makes me so sad like if I want to rejoin the fandom ever (although very unlikely) I would miss them so so much

Basically the PPG x RRB ships imho:

Reds

Expectation: Smooth, intelligent bad boy seduces sweet, innocent straight A student. Lots of leering smirks and blushing cheeks. Sexy and rebellious, full of drama. Your fave if you're into smut.

Reality: Two closet dweebs battle it out to see who can be the most neurotic. Overthinking, overcomplicating, over-the-(h)edge. Somebody's gonna pop a blood vessel, and their name is probably Brick. The drama part was right, though, but don't worry. They'll figure it out. Maybe. Your fave if you're into pain.

Blues

Expectation: The background couple in every Reds/Greens fic. Your fave if you've only seen the cartoon.

Reality: I dunno who told everyone Brick was the smooth-talking ladies' man, but it's always been Boomer. Yeah, Brick's got the girls lining up, but Boomer's the one that actually dates 'em. Come watch the fun-loving commitment-phobe get bowled over by the deceptively sweet bullshit detector. Probably the closest to an actual rom-com couple. Your fave if you're into healthy relationship dynamics.

Greens

Expectation: Drugs, sex, rock and roll. Those memes about being the Harley Quinn to someone's Joker come to life. Your fave if you're into MySpace cringe.

Reality: Video games and burping contests. Come see the best buds who definitely, absolutely don't like each other like that, nope, no way, not even a little. Somebody needs to tell these kids friends don't cuddle while watching The Bride of Chucky, and it ain't gonna be me. Your fave if you're into high-fiving while making out.

In conclusion, I love these idiots like they were my own lab accidents. :)

Any more unpopular headcanons about the ppgs?

I KEEP TRYING TO ANSWER THIS AND TUMBLR KEEPS DELETING IT FROM MY DRAFTS

these aren’t super unpopular, but they’re facts that are canon to my AU!

they all stopped actually hating each other around the time that the boys stopped committing crime (7th-8th ish grade), but their prides along with all of them being used to the fighting gave some left over malice in day-to-day life before they all actually became friends (freshman-sophmore year)

Buttercup and Brick’s best subject is math, Blossom’s is science, Bubbles’s spanish and history, and Butch and Boomer are both best in english/language arts

the red’s have three kids, their names are John (after Professor Utonium), Ben, and Rosalie. Ben and Rosalie are twins.

the greens also have 3 kids, Jamie, Julien, and Jackie (callback to the headcannon I’ve posted a few times on them trying so hard to not name their kids all B’s that they accidentally named them all J’s)

the blues have the most. Beatrice, Bella, Beau, and their twins, Bennett and Bianca

I’ve said this so many times but LOGICALLY at least ONE of the couples would have either twins or triplets, so like... both the reds and blues do

everyone in their friend group, including all the norms, are extremely accident prone besides Brick, and though he denies it to everyone else, he carries around a mini first aid kit (where he puts it, no ones knows), filled with bandaids, Neosporin, a granola bar for Bubbles cause she gets low blood sugar, q-tips, vaseline, and hair ties

on the other hand, despite being walking chaos machines, both Boomer and Buttercup carry around utility knives. they say they need it just in case someone needs to open a bottle, or (from Buttercups mouth directly) they need to “stab a bitch”, even though they both have powers that could easily fix both of those problems

Blossom collects peacock feathers

Bubbles draws on herself constantly and when she runs out of room on her own body, she takes to drawing all over her the hands over whoever is closest to her

Buttercup has Bubbles design her first tattoo

there’s a Butch-shaped-hole in the ceiling of Butch’s room from the time he thought he saw a bike theft outside of his window at 3am and forgot that he could go out the front door just as easily

^key word: thought. it was the dudes bike. he was in the middle of unlocking it when suddenly he was lifted 5 feet in the air and being yelled at by a sleep deprived 17 year old boy

Robin had a mini crush on Princess back in 6th grade that still sort of lingers

Boomer can finish a rubix cube in under 50 seconds

Bubbles makes everyone friendship bracelets, like, constantly, and no one takes any of them off or replaces them cause they feel too bad to, so everyone constantly has 2 arms full of stringed bracelets on all the time

Brick has a fiery hate for the fabric of yoga pants (me too bitch its okay)

Buttercup is on the swim team, her favorite style is butterfly
