2day I learned that associating Luffy w sunflowers isn't just a fanon thing, Oda literally said they associate w each other in an actual SBS q&a. That made my day.

Volume 89 SBS Corner reveals of Ace and Luffy’s looks at 40-60 years old!!! (if Ace was alive). Bottom is captioned “If something went wrong”, and Luffy’s written to be saying he’s not trying to be Pirate King (so it’s an AU). Funnily enough Old Ace looks like Rayleigh and Old Luffy looks like Shanks and then Garp x)
