@opmangasideblog the flee the Grandline part that Crocus mention was because part of the crew including Captain Yorki ended up coming done with some type of disease. So they quarantined themselves in their second ship which then left (more like tried to leave) the Grandline via the Calm Belt so they could “receive treatment but most of them died before they could reach help.” This what Crocus was talking about.

The surviving half of the crew continued on under the leadership of Brook, who became the second Captain of the Rumbar Pirates until they were massacred by an unknown group of pirates in the Florian Triangle.

Doffy shows up. The art style isn't anywhere near as detailed and new as dressrosa of course, so i didn't get as gross vibes from him as I did when watching the dressrosa arc. Hes still disgusting tho. Icky.

And how did doffy know? Actually how have so many people known that there is this new age approaching?? A few ppl like, met lu and were just like wow hes like Roger, something big is gonna happen. But doffy prolly hasn't even heard of lu yet and he just KNOWS something big is coming. I'm sure the answer to this is obvious and ill explain it in a later post, but rn I'm just curious if there's real evidence to it besides a gut feeling.

Ok that would be so cool tho if sanji got a scar under his left eye so he flipped the hair during the timeskip. Nothing big like Zoro's but like just a thick line of uneven skin under his eye or on his cheek. He would totally blow it out of proportion and consider that a reason to change his look entirely.

In the face of this seemingly indestructible force, the people do what they know. They pray.

But not to the God they believed in, because he was no god; he was a selfish prick with more power than he could ever deserve.

They prayed to any higher power out there because they were completely helpless and had nothing left to seek comfort from. Religion is all they know, so it's what they cling to for safety and help. I don't blame them; if I were religious, I would turn to my god for help in this situation, especially if there was nothing left to do. (I'm atheist tho, I think in this situation I would just hug my family and prepare for impact haha)

I've talked about this before. Lu values his friends/family (and his dream) FAR MORE than his own life. I guess that's what Robin is calling "romantic" which I don't understand entirely, but also I don't understand the actual concept of romance in general so I have no room to speak.

My brain wants to connect this to the title of the first arc "romance dawn" but I haven't figured out why they actually would besides using the same word.

I don't think I've mentioned it yet so I'll go ahead and do it now. Shanks is in the character intros of every single volume. That is how important he is, even if he doesn't seem much like it right now. This volume is from 2004 (the year I was born haha) and I do wonder how this made people feel back then. I want to hear their crazy ideas on what will happen next, how important they think shanks is, why he's so important, etc. Its just so heavily hinted at on how valuable his place is in the story and yet he's had hardly any screen time.
