Do you think you could analyze the Knight of Heart? Thank you!!
One of my closest friends is a Knight of Heart, so absolutely.
The Knight of Heart
So many Knights lately. There's a trend.
Knight - passive exploitation class, one who serves aspect, or serves through aspect for others.
Heart - control over soul and feelings, representing what makes you, you.
The Knight of Heart is one who serves Heart, or one who serves through Heart for others.
The opposite of a Knight of Heart is a Thief of Mind.
Knights typically start out with a deficiency in their aspect. Not on the level that a Page does, but definitely some sort of set back. This Knight might be one who struggles particularly with the concept of self imagery.
The Knight's challenge is to find a healthy and stable middle ground, and to know that they are good enough, they don't have to overshoot, but they don't have to undermine their efforts, either.
As splinters of self are a common part of Heart players, the Knight of Heart, being an exploiter of the soul, might use these splinters to their advantage, once realized. They could exploit the splinters of other people, inadvertantly causing an event in the timeline, or using it for this kind of reason.
The Knight of Heart is also going to be someone who is quite irrational and impulsive. They might run to the tick of their own clock, but despite this, they are incredibly empathetic and emotional people, and can understand people easily, even if their facade says otherwise. As Knights hide behind a facade that often ghosts the opposite aspect, a Knight of Heart might put a facade up as one similar to a Mind player. They want to be percieved as logical and knowing.
As a player, the Knight of Heart is going to be a useful player. They might be able to splinter themselves to leave impressions on people, or to exploit feelings of other people. Maybe they can't do what a Rage player or a Hope player can do, but a Knight of Heart would be one HELL of a sweet talker. Well timed words could get them what they want, and they'd be good at it. They'd use this ability to get their friends out of situations, even if it means they have to bite it. They are incredibly selfless people.
Pre-God Tier, I see the Knight of Heart as someone who might be demotivated to continue going, someone who struggles with the entire idea of splinters as a whole, and who has a long, continuous character arc that essentially boils down to one question: Who am I?
With some encouragement, the Knight of Heart could make out to be an incredibly effective player, and an awesome friend.
What inspired you to start ripping?
One specific panel inspired me to start ripping. I don't remember its number, nor am I paticularly inclined to look it up. It was a picture of Jake fighting a game construct, I forget which one, and I went "Huh. I like that image of Jake, I want to isolate him." Then, as time went on, and as I leaf through seperate panels, I just found more and more stuff I wanted to rip, and then I started this blog, and about a year and a half since I made that first rip later, here we are. Here's the rip that started it all!
Can you do a prince of time? A lot of classpecting blogs tend to skip over princes in my experience.
Of course. I'm a Prince myself, so I'm not going to skim over my own class.
The Prince of Time
Prince classes are some of my favorites. I'm biased.
Prince - one who destroys their aspect, or destroys with their aspect.
Time - control over time itself and the purity of the timeline, it represents patience.
A Prince of Time is one who destroys Time, or destroys with Time.
The opposite of a Prince of Time is a Sylph of Space.
The Prince class is a class that, like Bard, ghosts their opposite aspect as they destroy theirs. This means that they put up the facade of a Space player, perhaps putting up an aloof, creative front.
This Prince is one who has a grip on others, and they know it. They might be late everywhere, but they are going to make others wait for them. They make everyone around them bend to their will, and they can be the most patient person in the world, or vice versa. It just depends.
A Prince of Time has the literal ability to destroy timelines. They would be reckless with their Time powers, destroying time and perhaps not fixing their paradoxes. They could doom a timeline just as easy as they could save one. They can be helpful, but they can also be just as harmful.
Not to be underestimated, that's for sure.
Pre-God Tier, the Prince of Time is likely going to be snippy, but expressive. They don't worry about their faults, but they don't want you to criticize them, either. They might be passionate about art and music, and you're going to Know that. But, they're also the type of person to start many projects, and just not finish them. Whatever interests them at the current moment is what's getting worked on.
Princes are a great offensive class, and Time is the aspect that is all about non-stop fighting. This Prince is going to be skilled at fighting, whether that be with a sword, with an axe, a hammer, whatever they pick up.
The Prince will waste time on their projects, waste Time on meaningless things that they put their everything into and then act disappointed when it falls through. They are an intense person who will put everything into something.
A Prince's challenge is to not destroy themself along their path of growth. They're challenged with conflicting ideas, and they must figure out what to do with them.
The Prince of Time is not a great Time player for your timeline itself, as they might destroy it in their nature, but they are a fantastic offensive player.
The ability to destroy Time shows itself in them maybe being able to stop Time entirely, or age beings until they're nothing but bones, the options are unlimited.
could you analyze a bard of heart please?
I'm getting a lot of Heart requests lately. There must be a theme. Sure.
The Bard of Heart
You know the drill. I made these suckers.
Bard - passive destruction class, one who allows destruction of aspect, or invites destruction through aspect.
Heart - control over soul and feelings, representing what makes you, you.
The Bard of Heart is someone who allows destruction of Heart, or invites destruction through Heart. Bards and Princes tend to mirror/ghost the opposite aspect from one they are destroying, so a Bard of Heart would ghost Mind while destroying Heart.
The opposite to a Bard of Heart is a Maid of Mind.
As with all bards, the Bard of Heart is going to be somewhat of a wildcard. They invite destruction of the soul, which means they could influence the deterioration of someone's mentality, or literal existence if they were powerful enough.
However, this destruction could very easily be put on themselves. They could invite the destruction of their own soul, and drag down others with them. (referencing this post) They could not let others get anything, or they could, in a wilder twist of events, limit themselves greately. The challenge of a Bard is to not be ruled by their aspect.
While ghosting Mind, a Bard of Heart is going to seal their emotions away, essentially making them a shell of a person, one who doesn't open up and even downright refuses to.
Since Bards are known for being particularly erratic, if nobody keeps an eye on this Bard and helps them to gently open up and have guidance along their path, there could very well be an event that sets them loose, too many emotions in too little time, overwhelming them. an explosion of Heart.
Before God Tiering, I can picture the Bard of Heart as being a very closed off, quiet person, who just goes along with what everyone else wants to do. Someone who doesn't want to speak up, for some reason. A very interesting character.
thoughts about a knight of rage?
Yeap. I have some.
The Knight of Rage
pmmbbtthtpphhh if you take this youre stinky (- My bro, who wanted to type.)
Knight - passive exploitation class, one who serves aspect, or serves through aspect for others.
Rage - control over negative emotion, as well as Rage itself.
A Knight of Rage is one who serves Rage, or one who serves through Rage for others. Essentially they just exploit the emotion of Rage, for others.
The opposite to a Knight of Rage is a Thief of Hope.
This Knight is a particularly excellent example of an excellent warrior type. The Knight of Rage is one who would be particularly flighty, and would encourage/goad enemies into being consumed by their anger (literally exploiting Rage).
Pre-God Tier the Knight of Rage would be one who might be incredibly paranoid, incredibly reactive, and have high strung emotions. They may live in fear that they're going to hurt someone, and become reclusive for this reason. This "I should isolate and keep away from everyone to prevent hurting them" ideology is one of the factors that would lead this Knight into accidentally hurting someone, whether that be having a bad reaction to sudden touch, or even catching them in a bad mood.
On a complete flipside, the Knight of Rage could also be a more passive person in the beginning, since Knights have a lack of their aspect in the beginning of their arc. Someone who's calm, but makes absolutely no effort to change this or do anything about it, just lets everything blow over, because they feel as though that they can't do anything.
Their challenge is to open up and understand that not everything is futile, and things can be changed. Knights often struggle with a lack of something (usually their aspect) as seen with Dave's impatience and Karkat's trouble in relationships. Both are Knights.
Since a Knight's exploitation relies on how much of their aspect there is, a Knight of Rage is more useful on the battlefield or in tense situations against enemies than anything. They have the ability to drive others to madness, if they try, but this wouldn't be helpful in any kind of pressing social situation.
Overall, your Knight of Rage is one HELL of a fighter type. They have all of the ability against their enemies, and can use that rage against them. They can support their friends this way, which makes them awesome defense.
The Heir of Time
These placards are pretty rad. And I made them.
Heir - passive manipulation class, one who is changed by aspect or inspires change through aspect.
Time - control over time itself and the purity of the timeline, it represents patience.
An Heir of Time is one who is changed by Time or inspires change through Time.
The opposite of this classpect is the Mage of Space.
The Heir of Time is a pretty good Time player for your team. They can manipulate the Alpha timeline to keep it away from being doomed, and since they can't heal the timeline, they have to manipulate it away from any harm. But an Heir cannot do this actively, so instead of directly changing the timeline like a Witch might, they instead guide the timeline.
If anything about Heirs in canon is true about the class in general (and I'm talking about John being able to turn into wind), then the Heir of Time may be able to turn into Time itself.
Heirs are pretty carefree people. They exist unbridled and unbound by the rules of the regular game, and especially in the Heir with the most screentime, John, he is quite u (although a lot of that ties into his Breath aspect.) and doesn't seem to play by the rules.
With their manipulation, they could spread themselves across a timeline, paralleling to a Knight of Time by making multiple versions of themself appear.
Before God Tiering, I imagine an Heir of Time to be very to the point, and by that I mean that they are always on time. They could be annoying about how much time is left of anything, really, or stuck repeating the same things over and over, or perhaps even putting things off (insert heir of time pun here). The Heir's challenge is to be able to move on and adapt, and to not get stuck on a single concept.
Generally, this is a good classpect to have, but they might be difficult in the beginning because of their possibly limited world views.
Can you please analyze page of heart? Im curious and your other analysises (I have no idea what the plural is) that I read were very cool!
Analyses. Sure thing. Thanks for reading my other classpects, though.
The Page of Heart
At this rate, we'll be done with Heart soon. You guys love this shit.
Page - one who serves their aspect, or serves through aspect for themselves.
Heart - control over soul and feelings, representing what makes you, you.
The Page of Heart is one who serves Heart, or serves through Heart for themselves.
The opposite to a Page of Heart is a Rogue of Mind.
Pages often begin with a large deficiency in their aspect. This means that they typically have a lack of whatever their aspect is in their early life, and this is fundamental in their arc.
The Heart aspect deals with emotions and feelings. A Page of Heart might grow up surrounded by emotionally apathetic people, and/or a dysfunctional family. Pages reflect this by having their beliefs rooted in something that ghosts their opposite aspect, mirroring how a Knight's facade ghosts their opposite.
A Page of Heart would be one to have all their beliefs rooted in logic, reasoning, and balance. Sounds good, right? Not entirely. The price of this is that they are very emotionally stunted. They wouldn't be the ones to know what to do in emotionally charged situations, not at first. Because of the emotional apathy, there's going to be this fear that they're going to mess up at everything, and they might obsess over something until it's just right.
Pages have a load of untapped potential. They are mentioned to be one of the most powerful classes (other than the Master classes), they just need to tap into this potential.
The Page of Heart would, eventually, be able to exploit and use Heart for themselves. This could manifest in different ways, perhaps similar to our best example of a Page. Jake English's Hope abilities extend to the point that he can, if he really, really, believes in something, it Will come true (like with Brain Ghost Dirk). Perhaps a Page of Heart would be able to maneuver and move around people's feelings, or even get them to do what they want.
They could be a little snobbish about this, but it widely depends on the person.
The one thing about Pages is that even though they have a long, slow arc to power, which requires a lot of thought and outside help, they FAR surpass anyone's expectations. They just need time. And a hug. Or four.
Even if they can be frustrating, Pages are one of your most important classes.
