King’s great song “Hummingbird.” Apparently named after Anne d’Essling, or Anna Massena, Duchess of Rivoli, a French courtier in the 1800s, whose husband was an ornithologist. They use their long tongues to feed on nectar from flowers, which gives them the energy they need to drive their rapid movements, including their wingbeats while hovering.
