SCALEBOUND - {Canceled In 2017}
which one of these projects do you think will come out first?
Winds of Winter
Silksong
Yandere Simulator
Half Life 3
Scalebound
Feel free to suggest more projects in long devolopment in the comments/reblogs and I will make a second poll.
*I wouldn't rush silksong for the world. Let them take their time and make a masterpiece
*I know scalebound is a canceled game, but I have heard there is some call to bring it back
My family didn't have any wifi set up until I was around 10 years old, and I didn't actually get a phone or computer until I was 12. This meant that it was basically impossible for me to keep up with video game news outside of playground rumors and whatever I saw on TV.
However, my family was subscribed to Game Informer, and that shit was a goldmine when I was little. I remember hoarding the magazines and just flipping through them to see the latest in gaming. This was one of the few avenues I had for learning about upcoming video games and consoles, so it was really important to me as someone who found video games fascinating.
However, there is one particular game that has been lodged in the back of my head for years, and I learned about it through a random issue of Game Informer: Scalebound.
For context, I was the most dragon-obsessed child you could have met at the time. And I was HUNGRY for a video game that could let me live out that fantasy. So when I saw that first Scalebound advertisement, I went WILD for it. This random-ass Platinum Games title from 2013 was exactly what I wanted!
And then I learned that Scalebound had been cancelled in 2017. I think a part of me died in that moment because I had spent YEARS waiting for its release. Part of me hopes that another developer will pick up the pieces but I severely doubt it.
Oh well, Kingdom Hearts fills the hole in my heart just as well.
Platinum, Kamiya, what are you cooking up.
INTO THE BAYOVERSE?
INTO THE PLATINUMVERSE?
I’m not a Platinum or Bayonetta person by any means, but it’s kinda driving me crazy that people aren’t openly speculating that
1. The Bayonetta in the trailer is actually an older version of Cereza, which would explain the situation with Hellena Taylor, and yes I recognize that Cereza is I’m pretty sure just a younger version of Bayonetta, but I don’t know, there’s been weirder justifications
2. The guy at the end is the protagonist from famously cancelled Platinum/Microsoft game Scalebound
Like, these feel like things considerably more people should be making guesses about?
I know this is asking a lot of Microsoft but I just want a miracle to happen and see Scalebound revived at this event.
Cancel culture is getting out of control 😔
Platinum have expressed interest in reviving Scalebound, and some dumbfucks were all "hand it to Ninja Theory."
That is a fucking terrible idea.
I don't see any point in reviving Scalebound if it's going to be some random dragon game by a completely different studio on the other side of the world with the name "Scalebound" slapped on. I want to play Hideki Kamiya's Scalebound.
Besides, I'm about 90% sure the only reason it occurred to these people is because Drew looks maybe a little bit like Donte if you squint. Although looking back, even that's the same sort of shit as "DMC5 Nero looks like DmC Dante because Ninja Theory invented short hair, apparently."
