For less than $85 in materials you can have a screen cockpit cover for your #SCAMPSailboat. But you'll need a priceless spouse to do the sewing. One roll of screen, one pack of paracord and four pack of 3/8" snaps, a sewing machine, heavy thread, scissors, screwdriver, small tube of 3M 5200, small hammer and an awl. That is all you need, plus the tenacity to accomplish a #SmallCraftLife project. We learned a few secrets to make this look good. There are no complicated measurements or pattern. It’s been raining all afternoon. Like my #SeaPearl21, the #SCAMP347 cockpit drains are above the waterline so the cockpit drains unattended as long as you don’t screw up its weigh and balance. My stern anchor, chain rode and anchor line are just enough to keep the stern a little lower so the rain water drains out. Time for the cockpit tent installation. Still looking at #scampsailboat tents. Guess I have to make a decision on the woods stove first. More to follow...
