The American “Dream”
It’s hilarious that people still believe this is a reality. The American Dream was once a beacon of hope when the chips were down and you could still make something from nothing. That ship has long sailed....better yet that ship sunk. All the real dreams have turned into nightmares or have become so unattainable it’s almost suffocating with horrible job prospects, education costing you more than a 3 bedroom home, interest rates that are so outlandish you be better tying an anchor to your leg and jumping in the ocean because you’d have a better chance of staying above water in that scenario and a full on get rich quick scheme style of corporate managing but you aren’t the one getting rich from it you just make it for someone else. We are the highest country in productivity because they give you next to no vacation time, maternity leave is a joke and god forbid you get sick or hurt they have someone else that wants your spot for half the money. It’s an ant colony and we are the ants collecting the hundreds of thousands of dollars a day for CEO’s, CFO’s and COO’s so they can live the American dream with vacations, multi million dollar bonuses and severance packages while the rest of us get sent home with nothing when they run a company into the ground. Yet here we all are never asking a single question or challenging a thing, it’s the American dream.....because you have to be asleep to believe it.
