Uncle Scrooge and the Voices from Space

Quick summary: Scrooge takes the boys to a science exhibit that mentions the Klondike, he has a flashback about Goldie and then gets grumpy and wants to leave. He hears something that gives him a product idea and he forces Gyro to build satellites that can pull audio clips from history and they can sell that to museums. Museums end up hating it because historical figures are a lot more annoying than they were hoping. Then Scrooge gets the idea to sell people their own voices/the voices of their loved ones from the past instead, but the boys suggest that people could have their happy memories ruined by discovering things weren't as special as they remembered. Scrooge has a nightmare about a significant romantic moment with Goldie being ruined and then cancels the entire project, undoubtedly leading to a huge lawsuit against him and Gyro but it's fine lol [inducks]

A Scanlation of "Caught Cold in the Klondike"

Here's a translation of a fun comic in which Miss Quackfaster gets her due and Scrooge is humiliated! This was a real undertaking for me to scanlate, especially because of all the times I had to repaint background details and sound effects. I learned a lot in the process!

It's still funny to me that Huey, Dewey and Louie, the 10 years old boys that are able to explain any physics theory anytime and do very complicated calculations for their age don't know what a beer is. They are too precious for this world

Also, Scrooge's scottish roots are NOT taking Donald's easy drunkenness well (he only drank one (1!) beer). Just imagine how much his uncle drank (probably for free, somehow) since when he was 18 to the nowadays 157...

This post contains links to English translations of all four of the Trip's Strip mini comics from the PKNA series! Each comic was written by Bruno Enna, illustrated by Silvia Ziche, and edited/translated by yours truly. That's right, I couldn't find them in English anywhere on the internet so I DID IT MYSELF! ENJOY!!!

DISCLAIMER: I would not recommend reading these comics BEFORE you've read PKNA #34 "Nothing Personal" as the first comic in this series directly relates to the plot of that story.

Trip's Strip

Notes: The narrator in these comics is originally referred to as "Dida", taken from the Italian word "didascalia" meaning "caption". I just changed the name to Caption in full because I couldn't think of a way to pull a catchy nickname out of the English word.

Notes: No notable translation edits here but shoutout to Trip for trying to get out of his schoolwork by choking himself to death in front of his class.

An Ego in a Haystack

Notes: The original title is a bit more clever in Italian, as the Italian word for "needle" is "ago" which sounds close to the word "ego" (which is the same in both languages). The speech impediment bit was also hard to translate because the jokes are about words that sound similar to each other in Italian, but they don't sound similar in English. I kept those translations pretty direct because I thought it was really funny that the sentences don't sound anything like each other.

The I That Is Not Me

Notes: Title sounds weird but it's just kinda like that. The Raider speaks in a lot of Italian idioms that don't make any sense when translated to English (or aren't common enough among English speakers to be understood) so I had to change some of his dialogue completely. The joke is that he's saying proverbs that don't make any sense in the moment though (with cow puns added in).

This is my first time scanlating anything, sorry if some of the comics are low quality but I had to really scrape the internet to find scans of these at all. Please let me know if any of the links aren't working, otherwise enjoy!
