Anyone want to translate re: sukeban deka with me? Re: Sukeban Deka is a remake of the original Sukeban Deka manga but from what the mangaka said, apparently he upgraded the production of the manga in his retelling of it. I'm personally just interested to translate it since I know it will get more people into the series because of the modern artstyle and I want to compare it to the original.

I'm a cleaner/typesetter, I just need someone to translate it for me and provide the raws. If you're passionate about translating sukeban manga in general, please let me know!

Recently, Manami Sugano released a one-shot called “Utakata” (translated as “Transient Bubble” here) online on March 31st, 2023. She is a mangaka that specializes in yuri, with her most well known work being “Himawari-san.” 

Here is a short synopsis for “Utakata”:

Moe, a college student, has been feeling somewhat suffocated lately. What disturbs her mind, is her childhood friend Yuka... 

The one-shot has just been translated in English by the scanlation group CClaw Translations. It’s a short read, just 16 pages, but I really enjoyed the chemistry between the two. I love mermaids and I love yuri, so I definitely love it when both are combined (even if the former is really only metaphorically), I just wish it didn’t end so abruptly!

You don't know how happy this makes me feel! LIKE THE SCANLATION TEAM WAS LITERALLY ACKNOWLEDGED BY THE CREATOR THEMSELVES AND IS MAKING THE FAN TRANSLATIONS OFFICIAL (with some reworking here and there)!! This is what makes me hope that more publishers will be willing to reach out to more scanlators/scanlation groups in the future.

LMFAO!! I love—just LOVE—how Toxic Scans went around Mangago and Instagram saying they were already in talks with PlutoDx about being her official scanlators and here we can see that Toxic Scans is once again full of LIARS. They’re not only harrassing Pluto the way they did Byeonduck but they are completely ignoring every single word Pluto is saying!! DISGUSTING!! We got to bring these people down!!

Scanlators should bring back that goddamn disclaimer

"IF YOU PAID FOR THIS RELEASE, YOU HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF"

for scanlations. The amount of people thinking scanlations is something "good" and "fine" and "dandy" and not something that's an open secret and we try NOT to talk about it because it's illegal.

Instead they "support scanlators on patreon" is just astounding.
