Deep within the SDM, past the tall gates with a Dragon standing guard, up through the halls, where a maid endlessly worked, past the library with a devil and a magician in it, was a room. On the upper floors, behind locked doors, lay this room. And within, not a sound was to be heard. Until... She sighed. She knew it was impossible. No matter how much she longed for it, no matter how much she tried to control fate, she would never be able to do it. She would never be able to go outside again. She would never be able to feel the sun shining on her skin, never enjoy another picnic. And she lay down. And she wept. No one disturbed her as she lay there, drowning in her own sorrow... Some time later, she awoke. Her pillow was wet with her tears, and it was almost time for tea. She rose, and wiped away her tears, before dusting herself off. A master must always look presentable after all. She descended to the kitchen, and Sakuya was there almost instantly, pouring out her tea. She nodded to Sakuya, her mask composed and strong. As she was drinking however, she let something slip. And Sakuya noticed, she always noticed. "..." Small, careful words left the maids mouth, to echo upon your ears. You rose, and without a word, went to see the librarian. Time to go and read some books... As she gazed out of her window, she smiled. Finally, she would be able to go outside again. The land was covered in a blood red mist, but as she stepped outside, she smiled. It didn't last for long however. She could hear battle. She sighed, before returning inside, and sitting upon her 'throne'. A red white maiden sought to end the mist. How annoying. She rose, and the duel began... Why had she done all of this? Why cover the land in a mist of scarlet? She had wanted to feel the sun once more... But now, everyone else felt her pain as well. A sigh. But she could not give up. She had come this far, so she might as well end this. And with that, she gave up. She let the maiden win. She retreated back into her house. Many years past, and once again, Remilia found herself looking out of her window once more. She could feel the yearning tugging on her endlessly. But she sighed. It was never to be. She was cursed to this fate for all of eternity. Truly, she envied the humans, who could live and die...
