There was not much that startled the ancient, invincible god. He'd faced dragon's down without a care, fought krakens in the deepest depths of the oceans, even stared the fates in the eye and waited for the taunt sound of a bowstring...

But to hear an intruder unexpected in the Breidablik was enough to make him jump from the lazy sprawl on the sofa.

At his shock the room's walls flared silver, bright and brilliant, turning whiter to blind before sinking back to the usual, radiant glow. By that point Baldr was on his feet, unarmed yet by no means harmless, dark oak eyes looking to the stranger with a measure of threat and confusion. 

While it was not unheard of for mortals to wander in the brink between realms, the walls of each world weakened in the deep subconscious thought that came in dreaming, it was hardly common enough to warrant Baldr's complete ease at having someone wandering his home unknown.

Reality was terrible enough without people who could use it as Tinker Toys to build it to their satisfaction. There were scientists who tried to track such things, such changes, and they invariably ended up insane.

Those kind of mutants were honestly the most terrifying to Maria Hill. There was such a potential for evil, and even a proven track record for Bad Things...

Reality benders made Daken nervous. Thankfully there weren't that many of them, and the ones that hadn't wished themselves into an alternate dimension were well-known in the community.

He could avoid them as he liked.

Which he did, nearly religiously. 

Reality was bad enough without people playing with it.

PSA to new followers

I have stopped making starters. Prolly a bad decision but made for a variety of reasons. Most people would not respond to them, the threads would be dropped very quickly, and in the past I was getting so many new followers that it was literally stressing me out.

I kept trying to please every new arrival on my blog.

So if you do wish to interact with Jarvis you can drop a line by my ask or create a starter for me. Just... make sure to not break my tag... again. That poor tag has been broken more than a piece of string.

Also, I usually don't instantly follow people back. This is because there about 650 blogs following me... way too many people to follow back. I usually follow back after a fair amount of interaction now. So please don't be offended. I mainly do this for my own state of mind.
