I started watching supernatural yesterday and it’s AMAZING!!! But i’m really scared of the fandom. Is the Wincest shipping-community as large as it seems? Is it safe to interact with the fandom at all? I really don’t want to see any incest on my timeline

Have decided to NOT get involved in the Bridgerton fandom because it looks all scary and intense and angry and I was just wanting cute stuff about the cute couples rather than all the petty nonsense. Anyway my advice is read the books and/or watch the shows and enjoy the bits you like and don't be mean to people. You don't have to be all hatey. It's not required.

Is watching a fiction story in the form of anime/ cartoon/ movie/ video game & finding the “ baddies” interesting/ or if desiring a “darker” ending makes you a terrorist? monster? or a horrible human being with ideals that can harm real life society?

I never read the manga & I’m NOT supporting any side in AOT world, but I can’t escape the stupid spoilers & “fights” between ppl who cheer for the opposite sides in AOT. I even witnessed a friend who is an aot fan call another friend/ aot fan a danger to society cuz the later thinks “eren” should just win.... fun fact: both friends volunteer a lot in real life community! I don’t get it! This is fiction! No real person or animal is harmed while making it, so why a person having an opinion abt fiction reflects who they are in real life?!!!

If one loves watching serial killers movies, does this makes them potential future killers?

If you play a violent video game, will you become violent?

if you support  fictional eren in his fictional dark plan, does this makes you real life titan or a “yeagrist” which is by the way a fictional word, too ?

Some ppl find it fun to support the “ baddies” in fiction, this doesn’t make them “ edgy” or “ dictator lovers” or “ horrible real ppl”.

I know AOT discusses themes abt war & global peace & what not, but since it IS fiction, it IS okay to explore the darker side of the argument in AOT if you want to. Off course, if it was a real life situation, God forbid, those ppl who want to explore the darker themes in fiction, won’t feel the same way in real life!

If everything in fiction MUST ONLY be viewed according to real life morals & attitude, then we should ONLY have two types of characters & stories: Good & Bad. You might feel very strongly abt AOT because of its themes but it IS entertainment at the end of the day, Thank God! so, some ppl just want to “ entertain” opposing thoughts!

Same argument: if you ONLY care for the fate of your beloved character & don’t give a damn abt the story, that’s also fine. You shouldn't be hated for it, nor you should hate others who don’t share the same sentiment!

AOT is a story full of thousands of perspectives, discuss whatever you want without labeling others who don’t share your view the same way you label “ despicable” ppl in real life. AOT fandom is notoriously scary! Even among some of those who support the “ good guys” or analyze the narrative, I’ve seen/heard horrible “labels” for the other group.......

AOT is an interesting story with many fascinating characters but the story itself & its characters aren’t above criticism.

There are valid narrative issues & somewhat confusing artistic choices by the writer regarding the overall route/ "path” of the story. You might like it & praise it. That’s ok. You might hate it & publicly express that, that’s ok, too, as long as you are respectful of the author.

I know ppl can never unite in one single thought/ goal/ perspective, that’s fine, we should celebrate that & use it as an opportunity to muse over how different & similar we are, not hate each other for it.

I just revisted Hetalia for kicks and shit and ??? The fuck went down since I left ??? I went through the tags for some of my old ships and it was all cool and I actually started enjoying again and then ,, I reached Giripan?
