Harder, Faster, Better, More Analog
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a lot of electronic music, but... sometimes you need a live band:
Or a horn section:
Or a whole orchestra:
... to really rock it.

Very Best Cover Tournament Redux
The first tournament this blog ran was for the the Very Best Cover, but in all the polls, we never voted on the frank comparison of each cover versus the original version. This special feature will allow voters to determine which version of the song is better: its original incarnation, or the cover that competed in the tournament.
Note that some of the original recordings will be deep cuts the listener is unfamiliar with, because a cover (whether the one that competed in the tournament, or another) is more famous.
Which is better?
Free Fallin' by Tom Petty
Free Fallin' by Scary Pockets
Olivia Rodrigo promoting covers of SOUR hits by artists she loves.....here's how the Scary Pockets/Lawrence deja vu cover can still win
