Today was the birthday of her elder brother, Byakuya Kuchiki. Rukia was nervous, her small finger tips patted the gift that was in her desk, twirling her finger on the big red ribbon that had as an adorn. The petite stayed up all night finishing her paperwork so she could have the rest of the day off, but she simulated that she had stacks of paperwork, when really-- she had none. Today was a special day for the Kuchiki family. The servants and loyal workers of the Mansion were celebrating the Head of the Kuchiki's birthday with a few presents and ones that were just mere words because they simply did not knew what to give the Noble man. However, for Rukia it was even more difficult to decide on what gift she wanted to bring him, she had stayed up late the past few weeks thinking on what to buy or what to say, but she finally had found a particular cloth he would probably like, because his favorite plush was embedded within the corner.
Would he deny such a gift? Would he wear or even like it. That was to be discovered. Finally pushing her frame from the chair she was sitting, she took the gift within her hands as she headed her way towards the door of the barracks. Rukia didn't wish to be seen with the gift she held, so she immediately emitted a flash step to appear in the front of the big door of the Kuchiki Mansion. The young noble had taken a deep breath trying to sooth her nervousness that she started to feel, the beating of the inside started to race rapidly, her fingers now sweating. It was time to encounter the Noble in his room. The only thing she had wished is that she wouldn't perturb him in whatever activity he was doing within his privacy.
After the deep breaths were inhaled and exhaled she had pushed with a perfect hand the door. Upon entering the enormous Mansion, the ponds, the gardens, the cherry plum trees, and the bridge was visible to the amethyst hue. Such a beautiful display was into view from the little gap of the door that started to close behind her. The sun raised into it's peek over the horizon, the sun illuminating Soul Society within its hot embrace. The wind was calm, the flowers had bloomed gracefully, and the birds that flew by the Mansion chirped soothingly.
Rukia could see why Byakuya admired the beauty of the gardens. The peace of the Mansion engulfed the petite which had helped her to sooth her pumping emotions. Once she had ventured herself further more into the Mansion, and finally steps were planted against the bamboo floors until she'd arrived to the room of the man. Halting her step, she dexterously lifted a hand only to knock on the Shouji door, making sure she knocked only once. Rukia waited for his answer, and with a second that passed she heard his voice. With that, Rukia slipped the door open and her head had slowly bowed in respect before she'd placed the gift upon the ground in the inside of his room. Settling both of her hands in front of her she then spoke. "Nii-sama. On this day, I wish you a Happy Birthday." With that being said Rukia eyes managed to close by the peachy lids, and a smile started to form on the corner of her lips. The Noble man had simply thanked the younger female and had asked her to retreat. With his words that were an order for her, she had slipped the door closed, now walking away from his door and made her way to the inside of her own room, finally dropping herself into her bed. She had felt accomplished for being able to withstand her emotions.
The gift she decided to give him was a silky white scarf, and in tip of the end was embedded a small Seaweed Ambassador embroidery. It wasn't as valuable from his original scarf that were handed down from generations, but she bought it with much love. In the inside of the gift she wrote a card with a Chappy drawn on the corner of it. And in the card, she wrote:
"Nii-sama, you are made of perfection and not a single year will pass that your beauty will decrease. Each and every year you become a even greater man, and you become stronger each second. My older brother, thank you for being someone I can give my deepest devotion to. Nii-sama... Happy Birthday. With love, Rukia Kuchiki."
