I spread my father's ashes on the golf course that he loved today. I was surrounded by his good friends and golfing buddies and read them a poem that I wrote. I brought my father's favorite bottle of whiskey with me and we all had a shot afterwords and gave them a good sendoff. Royal Navy Order of Service

It may be you want to scatter the ashes of a loved one at sea and that person had a naval career. And whilst you would like reference to their service in the the Royal or Merchant Navy it may not be appropriate to use the Navy’s chaplaincy service. There maybe many reasons for this: you want the loved one closer to home, you wish to scatter husband and wife together and only one was naval personal, you want to conduct the service yourself.

The Chaplaincy have kindly shared their order of service with us, it has two versions one is for a service at their local church if the sea is too rough to perform the committal.

Part of my dream had one of those giant pikachu face plushies (that I reblogged last night) in it. I had won one and was ridiculously happy. Another part was I was at scatteringashes' house. I had some stuff in my trunk that I wanted to bring in so Miles came to help me. I took out a casserole dish (empty) and some other things. Miles grabbed a cupcake pan. I was like "... aw man. Oh well, maybe Ashes won't let us make cupcakes." XD (I hate making cupcakes.)
