How do Scavengers create their explosives? I've heard of the Artificer crafting explosives by quite literally spitting fire powder, and legends among Slugcats are that the Gourmand can make powerful grenades out of cherrybombs (which are not *nearly* as explosive), so I'm just wondering how Scavengers do it.
It's very simple actually! Although not as simple as the Artificers methods. (If what I've heard about her is true; we tend to exaggerate things quite often.) We simply take a stone and carve it until is hollow, and fill it with crushed firecracker plants, and then carefully add some tiny metal shavings. Once thrown, the metal shavings will rub against the edges of the stone (or other shavings) and ignite the fire powder inside, and kaboom! The case for explosive spears is very similar, except the fire powder and metal shavings are wrapped tightly in a rag on the end of the spear. It's difficult to learn of course, but every scavenger is taught how to create explosives once they are deemed mature enough, as it's very important for our survival.

This is what I look like!!
Feel free to make yourselves comfortable while you’re here.
I get sleepy sometimes and don’t feel like coming out of my den, so I’m sorry if you don’t see me for a while!
You ever heard of or seen the Artificer? I hear stories of her are quite common folktales around your tribes.
The Artificer was long gone by the time I was born, but the scars she left our tribes with have yet to fade. I have never been to Metropolis, but I have heard rumors that the Artificer still roams those old ruins, forever gripped by the cycle.
The pups are afraid to believe that she even existed all those cycles ago, but our burial site alone proves that her desperate hunger for violence was true.
