Okay, but I’m still not done talking about this slate.
In which case would you put four scene numbers on the same slate? As I understand it, this basically means that this shot will (or could) be used for all four scenes. How is this possible?
maybe there’s one shot that will actually be used in all four scenes, p. ex. just the shot of the door from the inside, in case we have four incidents of someone knocking from the outside.
maybe they just did a bunch of transition shots of doors, windows, the interior etc. that they will use selectively for the four scenes (but this seems so random, I can’t believe they would do the filming without a more detailed plan)
the four scenes are actually some sort or layered cgi sequence, and this shot was the master or background shot (p. ex. 85/88/90/91 are all the same scene but from different POVs, or we have a switch from reality to mind palace and the real scene is freezed in the background as in Magnussen’s bedroom, when Mary shoots Sherlock).
What else could it be? Any ideas?
@cupidford do we have a precedent of more than one scene for the same take in your slate collection?
