Back again with Scenery September, and a sparkly new prompt list!
What is SceneSept? It’s one theme a week (or every seven-ish days) where you draw illustrations, or sketches, of backgrounds and scenery. No characters needed! You can do multiple pieces if you can handle it, but really it’s just a week to take your time and really try to get the details in.
If anyone participates, I’d love to see it! I’ll be checking the tag vuv
The first week is a Rainy Day! The first week is missing a day. but that's okay. Give us something with a little rainy atmosphere. A drizzle or a downpour, up to you
The second week is Ruin'd. Draw a scene that's broken down. ancient, forgotten. It can be something real, or a combination of things from your own imagination.
The third week is Waterfall. We're really getting out water practice on. Waterfalls, rapids, there's a drop behind us, isn't there?
The fourth week, Snowed In. Have a snow day, or try an interior scene with some snow out the window. Make it chilly, even though it's probably hot right now; let's see how we can handle our whites and grays.
And the fifth week, we wrap things up with The'Mall; Why have one when you can have them all? Or is it the mall? We can count this as a free day, or you can draw some buildings like a mall, or you can combine them all. The fifth week is whatever you make it.

The first week is a free day, the Warm Up! Since there are only two days in the first week of September--deviating a bit from last year.
The second week is Can I Copy Your Homework? Draw a scene from, or in the style of, a tv show, cartoon, comic book. Usually those guys have a pretty good grasp of composition, and interesting art styles as well.
The third week is Starry Night. I love starry scenes, nuff said.
The fourth week, Interior Design. Instead of an outdoor scene, try something indoors--or draw more indoor scenes if you've already been doing them whoops.
And the fifth week, we wrap things up a little silly by planting a fruit bowl in the scene.

Week four of SceneSept, and also a sneaky sneak peek of pages to come? I love drawing in this silhouette style, though I think I learned a few things in the process. Might start getting less flat and more pop-up bookish? We’ll see lol
Welcome to Week Three of SceneSept! I... I had already did a water piece last prompt without thinking and I had to think of something else to do so it wouldn’t be repetitive aha. So this time I tried my hand at some serious digital painting, ft my friend’s oc Jin taking a splash into the lake
Welcome to Week Two of SceneSept! I had so many ideas for this one, but only managed to bust out one so far. This one was a little tricky, but I got it done! Practice makes perfect~
