Ricordi? La vita profuma. Amo le idee fumose, che affiorano lentamente alla mente attraverso cortine dense di pensieri e ricordi. Mi piacciono gli odori del passato, i tessuti che si impregnano di fragranze che si tramandano, gli angoli in ombra, i percorsi segreti su rugosi pavimenti in cotto, le grandi ceste di salice intrecciato cariche di ciocchi da ardere posate davanti a camini maestosi. Mi piacciono le finestre aperte su aie assolate invase dai fiori, dove i frutti asciugano adagiati su teli candidi tra macchie di rosmarino e mentuccia e il vento distratto che li sfiora senza cura, inconsapevole di trasportare scie di inebriante beatitudine. Mi piacciono le strade sterrate tra i campi, percorse in bicicletta, l'aria ribelle che odora di libertà e solleva polvere e stelle di tarassaco. Mi piacciono le biblioteche chiuse, l'odore della carta dentro copertine di marocchino e il profumo del tempo dimenticato tra le pagine scritte. Mi piacciono i letti di lino bianco, le spighe di lavanda, la luminosa nostalgia di cere racchiuse in vetri ambrati, le tende alte e pesanti da tenere socchiuse, le lame di luce curiose che tagliano in due il soffitto. Mi piace l'odore del pane, il fare di mani veloci su taglieri di legno robusto. Mi piacciono le materie pure, grezze, intatte e l'attenzione dei gesti educati, lenti, che rispettano le tradizioni, la cura dei dettagli all'apparenza irrilevanti. Mi piacciono i mondi invisibili, gli universi personali, i paradisi di unicità, gli sguardi d'intesa davanti ad un calice alzato, le belle tavole di pizzi, il candore delle occhiate materne, le porcellane antiche, la convivialità ciarliera da tagliare a fette. E i profumi che parlano, questi profumi, che sanno solo d'amore, il tabacco del nonno, il vassoio carico di pesanti bottiglie di cristallo coi liquori, le violette di zucchero, i fiori freschi tutti i giorni nei vasi, i belletti e le boccette aulentissime misteriosamente nascoste, i dolci al miele da spartirsi con quell'egoismo tenero di bimbo. Oro puro dei sensi, momenti di preziosa incancellabile memoria, che impregna l'anima e distilla infinite emozioni. Ricordi? La vita profuma.
