I find it funny how I thirsted over original RE4 Leon as a teenager like everyone else, but as an adult my tastes have just backslid into oblivion with creatures like Lucas. I still love Leon though, and I can't wait to continue with RE9. He's a bro and he'll always be special to me.
I'm making actually very good progress on video stuff, even though this project feels way above my weight class and I'm a slowpoke. On the flipside though i'm really burnt out on 3D while video stuff takes my whole focus. I hope i can return to more Lucas slice of life one day because it's fun and makes me happy. Bleh.
Serious time
It's hard to believe it's been 9 yrs since RE7 came out.
I got to the game a bit late (2021) and I was going through some rough stuff at the time, so I didn't really have the ability to enjoy it as much as I could have. But it struck me in such a way, that I couldn't get it out of my mind, and I still found myself thinking about it over the years as life went on.
I don't consume too much media nowadays, and I tend to forget stories pretty easily unless I'm actively engaging with them, but this one cropped up in my mind one way or another. I rediscovered and fell in love with it again at SGDQ 2025 and the rest was history.
The tragedy of the game is raw and personal, and I think that everyone can probably take away something from playing it, as silly as that sounds. Despite the very obvious horror tropes and nods to other franchises, it feels so much more than just a fantastical horror plot. There is something so grounded and emotional about it that tears me apart, beyond just being spooked. I've shed many tears just simply thinking about the game and its characters haha.
Fandoms, fixations, obsessions come and go throughout life. But I mean it quite seriously that I think the game will likely stick with me forever.
/sap over
There's this song I heavily associate with Lucas and I really want to make a video to go with it. I wish it was easier to share such content here, but I just really wanna practice some stuff and get this out of my brain aaaa
Things like rhythm game animations are so inspiring to me. and it's my dream to try and make one, so I wanna try my best at it
Another person in the fandom turned me onto Ethel Cain and I'd love to make a Zoe video with her music as well.
Maybe one day...
Wish I could be normal and enjoy otome games but I need my man to have some stank to him and bishies just don't cut it anymore
another year on the calendar, another year tacked onto the "last updated x years ago" counter for my favorite abandoned fics :')
PC is back up and running yay
Time to get back to work aaaaaa
