I hate that my university always schedules things I like at the same times, so that I don’t know what to choose. For the first time in semesters they’re offering an advanced arabic course, but at the same time I have my ancient greek class where we are going to translate philosophic texts, a course that is only offered every 3 semesters as well. Why do they make me choose between the things I love? That is utterly sadistic and purely evil.
C: Hi, I'm here for my appointment! Me: Your appointment time was three hours ago and we tried to get ahold of you several times. C: ...Soooo, when should I come pick him up?
WELP emailed two potential professors about classes for fall semester, which is fun and terrifying because it BASICALLY determines if i will be in their classes or not UGH
do you ever do a really great job at work and then your supervisor changes one thing and it undoes all the great job and leaves you w a sloppy heap of how-the-fuck-do-i-fix-this?

Doctors, doctors and more doctors
Have you ever been in a strange cycle of doctors visits? Where it seems like every single appointment you could have happens around the same time, and then seemingly, every appointment has a follow-up to the last? I have been in this weird appointment jail for the past month, and it doesn't end soon. Today, for instance, I had two: one in the morning, one at night.
In a six-week spell, I will have had:
3 with my primary care physician
3 with my dentist
2 with an ultrasound person
1 with my eye doctor
1 with an endocrinologist
1 for my son's well-child check
1 with my lady doctor
And I may not be done yet. Then there are appointments for haircuts and taxes, and squeezing in potential gym time. And follow-up phone calls. It is kind of embarrassing to tell my coworkers that I am off for yet another appointment.
What happened to my unscheduled life?
I think it is called "getting older."
