So, as I wrote today on Instagram, today was going to be a landmark. I started to hope, that some things will not work. But everything has worked out. So what are my results today?
I’ve got the last press ticket to the Opening Night of Simon Boccanegra (15th of November) with Ludovic Tezier in title role at Opera de Paris.
Next day I have my old engagement about L’elisir d’amore also at Opera de Paris, featuring Lisette Oropesa and Vittorio Grigolo.
Then I have 3 events to review at Donizetti festival in Bergamo in the end of November:
Enrico di Borgogna,
Il castello di Kenilworth,
Dante da camera: l’inferno in salotto.
I've also made an appointment with Levy Sekgapane during the festival.
Another appointment in Milan is still in process, will see...
Later in the middle of December I will review Jonas Kaufmann in Otello, conducted by Kirill Pertrenko at Bayerische Staatsoper.
Today I also got a reply from Berlin about Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducting Debussy and Prokofiev with Berliner Philharmoniker.
The most exiting news today is about Jonas Kaufmann again. Still can’t believe I will review his work alongside Anna Netrebko and Ludovic Tezier (again!) in La forza del destino (which is my favorite Verdi’s opera), conducted by Sir Antonio Pappano at ROH.
Then two more operas in Paris in spring:
Don Pasquale featuring Mariusz Kwiecień, Javier Camarena, and Pretty Yende.
Tosca with Jonas Kaufmann, Anja Harteros, and Željko Lučić.
Some points are still missing and in proccess, and definitely more to come, including more events at La Scala and Arena di Verona festival for sure.
