One of my classmates died and my bio teacher is talking about balloons in comparison to carbons
He just dropped them all and said 'and THAT is nuclear decay. I meant to do that'
I feel so bad for this man
i walked into bio today and this girl says “hey come here” so I went over and she fuCKING PULLED A HEDGEHOG OUT OF HER POCKET
A kid in my class just said he hadn't eaten in four days, and the teacher responded with that sounds like your own fault? WTFFFF
I'm being a big depressed ™ today
Because of school, I'm so fucking stressed that as soon as I walked up the stairs from my room in the basement I started crying. It's the work and tests and all the short units in the classes that we spend just about a week on then the teachers throw some bullshit test at us so we don't talk for an hour.
School officials say we're depressed because of social media. No! We're depressed because you don't give us an area to express ourselves. We sit in the same chairs five days a week. For five hours a day(where I'm from) and expect us to sit still and listen. I know nowadays mental health is widely talked about but it's mostly just anxiety and depression.
What about ADHD, ADD, PTSD, and even Dyslexia!
I'm pretty sure I have a form of Dyslexia and I'm also pretty positive that I have ADHD as well. I can never sit still and it's extremely hard for me to focus and read something.
In my one class this one kid likes standing up but of course we're in desks so the people behind him can't see. And of course kids talk a lot.
Can teachers stop punishing students for talking and having genuine fun with other students that they basically never talk to and get over the fact that high school students are not like they were 10 or more years ago.
Because we get so much work piled on us and so much stress that we develop a fear for school.
Last year around this time of the year actually I was hospitalized because of suicidal thoughts. I never went to school because it made me anxious, it gave me stomach pains, it made me not who I was. I was stuck in my own head and that made it worse. My parents thought they understood what I was going through so they would say stuff like, "I used to go through things just like you" no you didn't . You weren't bed ridden because of your own thoughts telling you that you were worthless and should go ahead and kill yourself, to not even question that anyone would care of you went ahead and did it.
My parents verbally abused me. Because they couldn't comprehend what was going through my head and how to deal with me. They tried taking my phone away. That made it worse, because my phone was my safe place, where I could get out of my head.
When I was at my worst last year, my mom kicked me out of the house. Because she couldn't just sit down and talk to me, I do admit I am very stubborn and I cry very easily. Because over the smallest things I'd do last year they'd yell, scream because they couldn't take care of me.
I remember one time my mom picked me up and what I thought the plan was, was I was just going to go to her place. I guess information got mixed up or whatever but she took me to school. Of course my anxiety made my heart race, my mom said I was going to school. I said no. That's all I said no. She eventually got sick of me not going in and trying to reason with me. So she started yelling, I started crying. She said me some things that I can't forgive her for even today. She drove me back to my dad's angry at my until I walked into the house.
Anyways, I rambled on a bit.
School needs to fix the amount of work they give students.
It can hospitalize them, like it did to me.
today I’m being forced (I have to to it if I want a good grade) to go swimming with school, I’m so excited to get anxiety about my body, wanting to rip my skin of and die :))))))))
hm. trying not to be depressed really is a really hard thing
Thwowback to when my teacher gave me 12, which is the same as an A, for a poem about Pikachu. And yes, that is the teacher's comment at the bottom
