Ok but guys i haven’t talked enough about Wally and Maddie’s reunion
Maddie is relieved but let’s take a moment to look at Wally please.
This boy has been torn the whole season.
He allowed himself to fall in love, only to realize too late that his love was impossible, but he kept the spark alive.
He hid the door from everyone, he took it out of bravery and awareness that this might be the best thing for Maddie : he saves Simon, and then moves on so she can live her life.
He was lost in a wood, alone for the first time in 40 years, stuck between the memory of who he was and who he could have been.
Until he heard Maddie’s voice.
The people you love can pull you out.
And I am sure he couldn’t believe whether this was real or imaginary but look at the pure bliss in his smile. He only ever wanted to feel her again, know she was okay in her arms.
This scene might be the most beautiful reunion I’ve ever seen.
