{ oh, how her father would be so DISAPPOINTED in her right now, as carmen sits on a barstool in some bar “patiently” waiting on her turn to be served again. there’s many reasons why she shouldn’t be in here - the fact that she’s technically underage to be drinking in one, but only a little. (thank god for money and fake ids) whilst another would be that she’s “disregarding” the errand she’s been sent out to do - but that can come later. it’s getting late anyway, and she’s probably just going to book a night in a hotel, exactly why she’s decided she wants to spend just a bit of time out on the town, getting only a little bit inebriated.
she doesn’t mind the a t m o s p h e r e of bars - it’s probably better to say that she prefers them to the swanky penthouse parties she sometimes gets invited to simply because her family has some money. but this doesn’t stop her from having to do some errands for the family herself. her father says it’s because he can’t trust anyone else. carmen doesn’t mind though, it’s nice to explore the places she gets sent to. there’s just s o m e t h i n g about small time establishments that speaks to carmen, but she can’t quite explain it.
the entertainment for tonight has actually been rather good in this place - the last one she went to had a poor boy who could not sing for the life of him (that’s what tends to happen on karaoke nights) - so she hums along to the tune until she finds an opening where she can order another drink for the night. }
❝ a rum and coke, please. ❞
