"the Grand Architect?"
grand architect/rover hades and persephone au. something about the grand architect masquerading as kharon… he’s hiding in plain sight all to guide his rover to his new gilded prison and death, intending to lay a crown of rotted flowers on his head.
WELL wuwa you got me. WHO i thought I would be simping over the whole patch
WHO I WOUND UP SIMPING OVER
I wish the wuwa fandom was bigger because I can only imagine how absolutely insane the thirst fics, edits and fanart of schwarzloch would be if there were more of us
... will you guys boo me if I say the Grand Architect is a little hot?
Can I say something
GA: You can't go home.
Rover is not impressed and doesn't give a fuck about the homeland.
Rover: That's all you have, all you do is send your overseers and rely on them, and just shapeshift and roleplay as people you really aren’t. That’s cowardice. Are you too cowardly to do things for yourself in your true form.
It takes a long while for the GA to respond.
GA: Silence!
Rover: That's what I thought.
I want to make a coherent, well-informed theory on how Luuk and Schwarzloch could be related, but we'll have to settle for my loosely informed ramblings instead since we have a day until this theory is either supported or thrown out the window.
When I first watched Luuk's showcase I originally interpreted his father's loss of scar and first "death" as being literal and metaphorical respectively. As in his father's scar had healed because he had been using Luuk to heal himself and at the same time his original "self" had died as he became more corrupt and stopped caring about Luuk as his child and instead only as a vessel to use for his own gain. I had thought that the empty grave signified that he had died and been put to rest, but the Ichor he had been using from Luuk's veins had actually made him some sort of immortal so he later revived and left his grave.
Through this line of thought, I was thinking that Schwarzloch was directed related to Luuk, as in he was Luuk's real father. Since we see that Luuk can control his Ichor to shape it into objects, Schwarzloch's used his Ichor to gain the ability to fully change his own shape at will. Maybe the reason why Luuk can't transform himself despite being made of Ichor is due to a difference in their forte and powers. Or, since Schwarzloch would have developed this Golden Serum to experiment on with Luuk, he knew better how to use and control it.
Yes, this theory of a direct familiar relationship was really out there, but it is also kind of fun to think about. And Kuro is known for pulling things like this so I really wouldn't have been all that surprised.
However, upon further interpretation, I agree that his real dad was probably killed and replaced with someone else who was mimicking him but forgot to add in the detail of his scar. We don't know when exactly this change took place, but I think it would make sense if his original father had been experimenting with Ichor on Luuk. Without Luuk carrying this Golden Serum in himself, what reason would someone have to go through the effort of killing and replacing his father? Maybe his original father didn't do it for malicious reasons, maybe Luuk was ill and this was a way to save him. It's also possible that his original father was part of a team working on Ichor and it was only after his death and replacement that the experiment with Luuk started since they had wanted to use him but his father was against it.
In order to bring Schwarzloch back into this renewed theory, I'm placing the time of Luuk's experiment with Ichor before his original father died. If I'm sticking with the idea that Schwarzloch gained his powers from Luuk's Ichor, then the only way he could be able to transform and replace his father is if he was using the Ichor before his original father's death. During these experiments, Luuk's father had a disagreement with Schwarzloch that lead to his removal and replacement. Something about harnessing Ichor was making Schwarzloch more powerful and he wanted to use his human vessel for as long as he could.
Alternative related theory: Christoforo wrote Luuk's replacement father as we've seen him do for other characters in the story. He gave the fake father the same story as the original so he would feel real, but with a twist to use Luuk for the Fractsidus's gain. This theory would likely slot in line with his father being part of Ichor research but Luuk not being part of the experiment until he was replaced.
The reason why I think this theory doesn't hold as strong as Schwarzloch having a central role is because we don't know how old Christoforo is compared to Luuk. But, considering Schwarzloch was shifting back in the day for Phrolova, that timeline could also invalidate this theory if Luuk is much younger.
Anyways, I'm excited (and scared) for what we find out tomorrow
