Personality: Gentle, a bit eccentric, shy, finds herself nervous around new people. She has difficulty speaking up but around her true friends she's very open an honest. Often info dumping or even over sharing whatever she's thinking about. Easily manipulated, her moral compass legitimately towards neutral.
The Original Story
Born in Arkham Massachusetts at St. Mary’s hospital Aurelie was the one and only daughter of Augustin “Austin” Gilbert and Mirelle Leblanc-Gilbert. After years of trying and the beginning of a failing marriage Austin and Mirelle conceived. Aurelie was the apple of her father’s eye and the only reason he stayed around despite his failing marriage with Mirelle. She was raised in Arkham, with a loving family on the surface at least. Her father was especially doting, though her mother seemed disinterested. It began to become apparent that Aurelie was different, things would crack and break when she cried, her mobile moving without anyone actually touching it. It was eventually apparent that Aurelie herself was quite different. It also meant that Mirelle had very little to do with her daughter, often swearing that she was demon possessed or a witch. Swearing often times that one of the local legends was seen dawdling over the girls crib. Austin worried about his wife’s mental state but worried more about the fact that he might very well come home to find his daughter smothered in her crib. So he began taking her with him when he left on his frequent trips to Gotham, New York though these didn’t occur until she was almost four. It was during these trips that he began to notice his daughters oddities himself. Telekinesis was a rare and almost impossible trait, but apparently after some research it was apparent the gene’s were present in both of their families and Aurelie was unfortunately the next one to inherit it. He began teaching her to try to control it around age seven and she grew up with a relatively normal childhood from there. Taking an interest in Piano and Ballet as attempts to gain her mother’s approval. Her mother at this point seeing only dollar signs to keep her with Austin and keeping her daughter her at arm’s length was indifferent to her at best. Upon turning fourteen Aurelie was excelling in school and slowly budding into the kind of girl most of the boys in her class at high school were dying to be with. It was that year that the moved to Gotham permanently, leaving behind the small town she had grown up in.
However things began to change with that burst of womanhood. Namely because of a elevation in her weight the ballet instructor’s of Gotham informed her that she was no longer of a proper size to do ballet. Depressed, Aurelie’s attention turned to attempting to loose that weight. Her self confidence began failing and she began to be taken advantage of by the boys in her classes. She started getting a reputation as ‘loose’ and by fifteen she had started to dramatically lose weight, and seemed to be in a constant state of nervousness. She was quiet in class, though her grades didn’t slip she had few friends and seemed to isolate herself constantly. Preferring to read, or dance when she was at home, continuing to try and make herself a better ballerina without the aid of an instructor. She seldom ate, a combination of anxiety and the first signs of an eating disorder seeming to keep her from having an appetite, when her father was away she remained lock in her room, trying to get her powers under control. Because her control was slipping, and she would wake often to find her self hovering above her bed. However her attempts to hide it resulted in strain on her father’s side as well, he wasn’t aware and didn’t know that him being away was causing her stress, and his own life was starting to fall apart. His relations with his ‘family’ in Gotham slowly starting to fracture he decided it was best to return to Arkham, and let the flames die down after he took out one of the crime family’s first born without realizing the hit. Aurelie was never aware of his job, just knowing that they were able to live comfortably and the money was pretty much the only thing that resulted in her mother staying.
Arkham was a fresh start for Aurelie, her reputation in Gotham isolated to that horrible city. She made a few friends, she found herself developing interests in her studies, and spending a large amount of time at the university library, fascinated by what was showcased as Miskatonic university, namely lots of arcane and potential forbidden knowledge,even earning scholarships to attend as she started to learn more about the towns legends and lore. Though her life was starting to look up it changed, suddenly and for the worst. Her father and mother was killed in a car accident, or at least what was supposed to appear as an accident. Her father’s connections finally getting wind of him and hoping to leave a message they inadvertently ended his life, as well as Mirelle’s, leaving Aurelie orphaned. While there were offers in Arkham, to take her in by her teachers and even some of the miskatonic professors, the authorities thought it best to leave her with ‘next of kin’ unfortunately the only member of Austins family that wasn’t in Ireland was his younger brother Eric. Eric however was nothing like his brother, and learning that his brother had an expansive fortune Eric thought he would have access to that.
However he didn’t, Austin taking precautions to make sure that Aurelie would not be without had the accounts frozen until she was eighteen and rather than be stuck with her he looked for ways to get rid of her. This involved moving her back to Gotham, and essentially selling her to a one Doctor Hugo Strange. Her life from there is largely repressed by the dark haired telepath. When she turned eighteen she inherited her fortune and took a scholarship at the miskatonic University in Arkham.

VERSES:
Lovecraftian: Primarily shared with a close friend of mine, Austin instead of moving them to Gotham took up the mantle of Dean of Miskatonic university. Involved in many of the more...unknowable parts of the universities underground. Including leading one of the universities more secretive societies.
Aurelie is sheltered but loved, naive but eager to learn, and cared for deeply by the staff of the university and a group of students but her family is still hiding secrets from her. Largely that the accident that killer her mother and almost killed her was a ritual. A Ritual that almost killed her except her father made a deal with something awful to save her life and That something awful loves in her to this day.
And that technically because of it she can't leave the campus ever again.
Yharnam was decaying long before the hunter with the moonlight scent came along. Aurelie was certain of that, her father was a member of the higher portion of the church, tied to the choir. Her mother had been a decadent creature and frequently abused the churches power before she took ill and was taken to Iosefka’s clinic, where the imposter eventually helped her find ‘enlightenment.’ Aurelie however was protected, guarded and kept innocent of everything, she was involved in her fathers work only as a volunteer, and even then it was kept to mixing phials. She rarely accepted blood treatment though she knows how to administer it. She turned to the great ones in prayer but what she sees when the curtain is lifted is not exactly what she wants to see.

Final Fantasy XV
Aurelie grew up in the empire, her family was wealthy, but that didn’t stop them from dying, her mother from starscourge and her father from an ‘accident’ involving a magitek experiment. This happened shortly after she turned sixteen, after that she was placed into the care of her Uncle who insisted that girl was insane and had her committed. It was around this time that she also wound up discovering her unique gift. She could see the future, a trait her father apparently shared as part of a line of mediums, cursed descendants of a village of people who had stood with the usurper, part of that curse was that if she attempted to alter the fates preordained by the astrals she would die. This ability weighs heavily on her conscience and she hates that she is not brave enough to face death for even the ones she loves the most. So once she is capable of signing herself out of the institution she discovered the empire in the midst of plague and like many was carried with the flow to Lucius, often living out of her car.
Where she settles is dependent on the verse, sometimes she stays in Lestallum, the only safe place during the ‘eternal night’
Aurelie’s father was a worker for Umbrella he was to be on business on Raccoon City on Business at the time of the original incident, that resulted in the leveling of an entire city. She had gotten lost when it started, trying desperately to stay alive and by the end of it the girl barely even remembers how she survived it. Largely because she probably didn’t know. Nowhere near the crater, and unable to find anything outside of her own ID and the Clothes on her back.

She just knows she needs to figure out where her father is. He’s the only family that she has after all.
