i feel like it'd be cool if there were science museums but for adults. because as a kid, i used to love running around in museums, exploring the exhibits, and getting my hands on the 'hands on' stuff. the tech museum in san jose, the exploratorium in san francisco... but there doesn't seem to be a similar museum done for adults, you know? yes, adults can still enjoy these museums, but we aren't the main demographic. wouldn't it be cool for there to be a museum done in a similar style, with loads of hands on activities, but for grown ups?
Two Brief Updates
1) I uploaded iNaturalist observation #17,000 recently. This Bufflehead Duck [link]:
I still haven’t caught up on bugs from this summer though. Ugh. Maybe when I’m unemployed X_X
2) I found a science museum hiring a Director of Operations and I legitimately offered to share my moth pupae with them if they hired me [link]. Just to show, though. I keep. Then moths come out and fly away.
I have some friends looking over my resume now, going to send it off by this evening so the application is sitting in their inbox on Monday morning. Anyway, time for BED.

The Boston Museum of Natural History moved into their new building in 1863, and stayed to 1947. They changed their name to The Museum of Science and moved out. Bonwit Teller moved in and stayed 40 or so years, then Louis and for the past few years Restoration Hardware. Their renovation of the building is quite amazing. walk in, if you get a chance, William Preston was the original architect.
An MoU has been signed between CSIR and the National Council of Science Museums. The MoU aims to set up science museums at select CSIR laboratories. Jitendra Singh called for imbibing scientific thinking to face the challenges of the 21st century.
