And a young Benton Quest?
The Invasion I Bnha (AU)
Izuku stared at the scolding sand beneath his boot’s. America was nothing like he had heard of, of course, no land nor place was the same as it had been before. Japan was a wasteland, building crumbled, and the animal life was being eaten up by the foreign life. He looked around, only recognizing a few unfortunate souls. Katsuki, Tenya, Momo, Kyoka, Keigo, Shota, Shoto, and Shoto’s father, Enji Todoroki. Enji was the leader when it came to tasks, organizing missions, and his son is his little pet. They were always together, Enji always teaching Shoto things on how to be a ‘Proper Leader’. Shoto, wasn’t like his dad, who was....aloof. Shoto was bright and chirpy. Talk your head off. Izuku grunted as Shoto approached him, pretending to be busy tying his boot. “Hello, Midoriya, is it? I’m Todoroki Shoto.” The teen grinned as he extended a hand.
“I know.” Deku hissed, swatting the hand away.
“Well, sorry for being friendly,” Shoto snapped, “But you are required-”
“Oh boy, did they find the beer bottles? Swear it wasn’t me.” Izuku gave a shit-eating grin as he fiddled with his automatic assault rifle.
“No, well, they did, but this isn’t about yo-”
“Gonna stop you there, I got shit to do, s-”
“Izuku.”
“Don’t Izuku me, Bi-”
“This isn’t about you!” Shoto snapped, snatching his rifle and flinging it into a cargo container.
“What the fuck is wrong with you, huh? That could have gone off- your the safety was on dick-wad!” Izuku stood, shoving the slightly taller but thinner teen backwards. “You’re required by All Might himself!” Izuku blinked, shaking his head and looking at Shoto. “Why...?” Shoto huffed, grabbing Izuku’s wrist and yanking him to a large tent towards the center of the camp. He stumbled slightly, gazing around the tent. There was a large section with a round desk, with 12 chairs, maps all over it. Shoto let go of Izuku, glaring at him, and walking back to a false wall behind the desk. Shoto cleared his throat, and almost sounded like he was whispering. “Otou-Sama, Midoriya is here.” Shoto said kindly. Izuku felt nerve’s sprout through every part of his body, even though he pretended this didn’t phase him as a 6′4 male come from a split in the false wall, but much more nerve wracking was the 7′2 built blonde brute- Toshinori Yagi, or, the legendary All Might. Izuku gave a bow of greeting, nerves causing him to feel queasy and on edge. “Have a seat, Young Midoriya.” Toshinori demanded. Izuku awkwardly sat across from where Toshinori had taken a seat, Shoto and Enji taking seat next to Toshinori. “W-what is this about? Did I do something?” Toshinori shook his head, sighing as Enji slid a paper forward. “This isn’t about you, it’s about a new recruit.” Enji explained. Izuku found himself leaning forward to look at the paper, but unable to actually read it as it was in an unfamiliar language. Toshinori turned the paper his way, gazing down than looking up at Izuku. “This young man is Shoji Mezo, we believe he is carrying the virus the alien’s used to...kill, most of the human race.” Toshinori explained, Shoto sliding a photo of a tall male wearing a mask, hair swept over but most bizarre was his six arms. “So, is he immune?” Izuku asked, blinking back memories of the disease. He knew it destroyed quirks, and was fatal to anyone over the age of 16. In a twisted piece of luck, most teen’s in this camp where younger than that when the alien’s touched down. Everyone hopes the virus doesn’t make it into the camp, and yet, they brought a carrier? “No...it seems...the virus can’t attack his quirk because he doesn’t have a quirk to attack.” Enji explained, sliding up a more recent photo of the teen. His other arms...where gone. Clawed away, all that was left was scar tissue. “I-I don’t-...I don’t understand,” Toshinori cleared his throat and leaned back in his chair. “He’s a living host of this virus, why bring him into a camp full of people who it’s fatal to?” Shoto looked at Toshinori and Enji, almost in a plea to explain. Toshinori gave a nod.
“Well, we know the virus doesn’t spread through contact, or air, saliva, bodily liquids, so on, unless the two quirk types match. So, theoretically, he doesn’t have a quirk anymore to spread it through, meaning that the virus has no where to go and it isn’t a threat to him. We can make an antidote and not risk anything.” Shoto beamed. Izuku leaned back in his chair, trying to understand everything. “Why am I here then?” Izuku forced, looking between the two men and the teenager. “Well, he...why don’t you follow me?” Toshinori stood, heading over to the entrance of the tent. Izuku shot upwards and galloped after him. Toshinori led him to the only non-tent building- the science and medical bay, packed with air-conditioning and technology for days. Most of the other’s in the camp sat around in here to keep cool from the desert sun, that often hit the military base like a baseball bat. Two medics where sitting at a desk, one holding an icepack to his neck where a nasty strangle-mark rested. They moved passed them, though, not without receiving some warning glared from the two. They entered into a small hall that opened into a medium room with science equipment strewed about, and Tenya Iida muttering about force. Izuku noticed a square piece of glass leading into what looked like a procedure room. He knew that they kept some aliens in there when they experimented, but seeing a human form in there felt...wrong. On the singular structure protruding from the center of the room sat a built, lean teenager around Izuku’s age. He knew it was Mezo from the gapping scar’s on his sides where his other arm’s are meant to be. Izuku approached the glass slowly, pressing his hand against it. Mezo watched him, getting off his perch and slowly moving toward’s the glass in the same manner Izuku had, pressing his hand against the glass where Izuku’s was. “Why is he in here?” Izuku asked wearily, looking back at Toshinori. “There was three scientest working with him. Two made it out.” Izuku looked back at Mezo. “He killed the third?”
“No, he made the third’s life a living hell. Paralyzed from the neck, down.”
Izuku pulled his hand away, swirling towards Toshinori. “Why the hell do you have him here then!?” He cried. “For an antidote. And you, you’re gonna help us get it,” Toshinori said with a smirk “You have a weird habit of making people like you when you don’t want to.” Izuku rolled his eyes, turning back to Mezo who still had his hand on the glass. “You want me to trick him?”
“No, I want you to befriend him.”
