hey there!! my college is putting on "in the heights" and my dream role is Usnavi. I'm an alto/tenor (I'm female but nb) and I have mediocre singing skills but very very strong rap skills, which I think is going to help me. The audition wants 16-32 bars of a musical from 2000-now as well as a rap. I'm thinking about doing 30/90 from Tick Tick Boom and Usnavi's fastest rap from the opening number. Do you think this is okay? Any suggestions? <33

Tick Tick Boom is perfect but I don’t know if I would do something from In the Heights. I would find a rap song from outside of musical theatre. You’ll probably be able to show off harder rapping and not risk everyone doing it
