Say hello to our newest species of leaf-tailed gecko, Uroplatus fetsy—a dead-leaf-mimicking gecko just in time for Autumn! This gecko lives in the forest around the limestone karst of Ankarana National Park, northern Madagascar (alongside Geckolepis megalepis, a species we described in 2017). It is extremely similar in appearance to Uroplatus ebenaui, but the mucosal membranes of its mouth are very differently coloured, and it is genetically extremely divergent.
