hi, my character is a maid of space that uses scissorkind, what could she prototype (&& and ||)? her interests include 60s/70s music, botany, ironic media, and art. i have an idea that she duel-wields the scissor blades

Scissorkind || The First Cut Is The Deepest by P.P. Arnlod: The Second Is The Deadliest

It is not a scissor that sings (though it might look like one), but bytes, instruments and voices reaping everything one might have sewn with only two hits. Be careful, though, *the constant vibration of this weapon can induce nausea and it tends to send small shockwaves at random intervalls.

... || Paintbrush: Sharp Strokes

It’s a lovely day to paint with the sharp end of a scissor-shaped paintbrush! Thin, bolting lines of color wonderfully mixing on a canvas with an amazing precision as you amaze bystanders and probably confuse any enemy coming your way. Optimal from blinding, not so much slicing.

*Note: these effects are common to any item alchemized with a song. As you can also see, the powers mainly regard the title of the song, but only when using the actual file instead of a physical CD or album.

On scissorkind specifically, since the scissor blades are separated you can alchemize them indipendently from one another and have two weapons at the price of one! There are however some effects and bonuses that only work when both of the blades are alchemized in the same way.

Scissorkind

Cleaving Strife Abstratus

Scissorkind covers the usage of scissors of all kinds as weapons. From the common arts and crafts scissors most commonly used against processed tree pulp, to the cutting pliers commonly used to steal bikes, to even the legendary twin fused blades said to be capable of cutting through anything, all these fall under the Scissorkind Abstratus.

Scissorkind, like most other blades, have simple uses. Particularly, cutting your evemies to bits. Hindering this is the fact that most scissors have their blades on their inward sides and have the outward sides, one ones used primarily for cutting and stabbing, completely blunt. Most Alchemized scissors have both edges sharpened, allowing them to be used like regular daggers, though the Player would have to be creative in using their scissors until then.

Scissorkind uses Mangrit or Alacrity as its Attribute, as using scissors to kill usually requires a lot of strengths or a lot of precision, just as with most blades. Most scissors are trapped in Melee Range unless thrown, others could either somehow shot projectiles, and are thus combinations with other Strifekinds, or simply has an ability that increases its reach.

Specibus Types

Whole: The default way to use scissors would be to use it like it is usually used, by pushing both sides against the target and letting its leverage and edges do the rest. This increases the Damage the weapon deals, while making it harder to use.

Halves: A common method in using scissorkind would be to remove the screw at its center and use it as 2x½ Scissorkind. This method has the obvious advantage of dual wielding and the ability to make attacks faster, while holding the drawback of lesser Damage due to lack of leverage.

Features

Bane (Paper): The weapon is particularly made to damage thin pieces of processed tree pulp. This grants it bonus Bane Damage when used against Paper or Plant based enemies.

Orchid Skive

“A strangely large pair of scissors, with blades about the size of short swords. It is made entirely, of all things, out of plant matter. It’s handles are made of roots and branches while its blades are incredibly tough and sharp flower petals. The screw connecting the two halves are made of vines, and are easily retractable if need be.”

Whole - Type: Sharpened Cleaving Weapon - Damage: Medium - Attribute: Mangrit - Range: Melee

Half - Type: Sharpened Cleaving Weapon - Damage: Low - Attribute: Mangrit - Range: Melee

Features

Bifurcation: The weapon can easily be split into two, allowing the user to dual wield. This allows them to make two attacks at once while reducing the weapon’s Damage to Low.

Sylvian Vitality: The floral nature of the weapon grants it an uplifting effect. The weilder increases their regeneration rate by a small amount.

Pullman’s Shears - an infinitesimally sharp pair of scissors that are capable of slicing a hole in space, creating (not incredibly reliable) gateways to other universes and realities.

Widow’s Trim - a small, dainty black pair of sewing snips imbued with a monstrously deadly toxin.

the Jaws of Fate - a long, ghostly set of shears that cut not through flesh or fabric, but through an individual’s cord to their own body. One snip, and the soul is completely severed.

Strife Specibi

Mine would probably be Glovekind (Alchemized together with a blade to get blades on the sides for epic attacks), Brasskind (I play Saxophone), or Scissorkind (I believe giant scissors would make epic weapons, you can put the blades together for slashing, cut imp heads off, or stick it in my enemy and then pull the blades apart for some fatality action)
