I woke up this morning to a 13 minute and 24 second-long voice message from @scoops404 that began “Hi, hello, how are you? I want to tell you about how I’ve been diabolical.”
I haven’t actually listened any further than that, but I fear City Walls readers (everyone should be a city walls reader) are truly in for it.
I know it’s not cool to leak discord messages, but I think you should all know just how problematic @scoops404 is. This is the person you stan.

Ahhh thank you for being the first person to ask me a @scoops404 beta question!!!
It feels AMAZING to be the first person to read her fics, because not only do I get to read it first, I’m also usually along for the ride while she’s writing and I get all the behind the scenes commentary. Like I’ve known roughly how Two Fools will end for like a month now. I knew about the way the narrative changes in later chapters (trying to be vague here for those who are waiting to read) way before it was posted. I am also just SO UNBEARABLY SMUG ABOUT IT. Sorry not sorry. This is my job, my vocation, I take it very seriously.
We actually talked about the thing that makes me most proud in beta-ing this morning, and it’s that—over a long time and with a lot of generosity and trust—we’ve gotten to the point where Scoops will send me the draft with questions in it like “do I need this paragraph?” or “I feel like something’s missing but I don’t know what” and she gives me the HONOR of helping her figure those things out. That is very much not something you ask of just a regular beta and I’m proud to have earned that.
