I read somewhere that time accelerates as you age. This is my impression and may be because as you get older you do fewer new, memorable things. Memorable things that you do for the first time populate the time-scape and as you look back, if there aren’t many it seems as if the time has flown by. I have a Kymco People, retro-style but much cheaper and with great pick-up. People have advised against plastic scooters, but wtf, and I get 93 mpg. Oh- and buy ‘Merican, Euro, or Korean, but not Chinese scooters.

Do you love it?  Do you use it?  Did you buy it new or used?  (Do they have sales?) Is it hard to drive?  Is it safe?  What would you do/buy differently if you had it to do over again?  Do you wear a helmet?  Do you feel like a weirdo or a total BAMF riding around?

While I'm sitting here with my thumb up my ass...

I'm going to research scooters.  I have wanted a scooter--like a Vespa, not a Razr--since I was maybe 14 years old, and it seems like it might even be a faintly glimmering possibility right now.

We maybe not RIGHT now, but at this general point in my life.  But there's so much I don't know.

Do any of you have scooters?  Or have advice to give about them?
