Been watching Dr. Jackson Crawford videos to make up my mind whether I should call Fire magic seidr (like most MCU!Asgard fanfic writers do with all magic) or not. I think Galdr is the appropriate term?

It is my understanding seidr is a kind of magic rather than ALL magic. For example, in the mythology, myth!Loki's shape-shifting does not get referred to as seidr and it's just something Jotnar can do (And Loki's not considered to be a seidr practitioner, unlike Odin and Freyja). Unlike myth!Odin, myth!Loki's status as "argr" is independent from being a seidr practitioner. Seidr seems to especifically be clairvoyance magic rather than all kinds of magic?

But then, there's a mention of Galdr (spells/incantations), which Odin knows 18 spells that practically make him incredibly powerful. The incantation etymology of "galdr" is what confuses me on whether those spells are seidr or not.

And lol, currently watching Jackson Crawford try to brave through an explanation of the very nasty "Dead Man's Pants" Galdr/spell. That shit is nasty. Here are the videos I've watched so far.

Made a real life dream visitor! It's very pretty the pictures don't do justice to all the sparkles and the translucency. And I absolutely had to make it glow in the dark naturally. Haven't quite figured out how to visit other's dreams but I'm working on that part.

I made Turtle's arm band! No more worrying about mindreaders, phew!

I spent so long finding just the perfect stick to work as a prop with it, and I think this one's perfect, I still have it stashed somewhere lol

I've actually updated this design a little bit and got some new material, so now it's easier to wear AND its shinier!

For another personal project, I made the eye of onyx! The pictures don't do it's shine justice but it's super shiny. I'd wear it around on occasion but I don't think I'm qualified to be queen of the sandwings and I'd rather not be reduced to a pile of ash

It's clip on too so no need to pierce ears haha
